on the apron... most digital pintable software adds the apron and instruction art already, you want your playfield monitor to come all the way down to your glass lock bar.
@overtinker.projects9 ай бұрын
That's a personal preference, but indeed when you do that you can read the instruction cards in game. I prefered having actual depth so it looks more realistic. I have the instruction cards linked to a button in popper so I can read them there

Looks cool; will be interesting to see the coming part(s). I have two SD arcade cabinets atm. As I would actually prefer to live smaller don't think this is a project I'll emulate anytime soon but will save for future reference and maybe build something smaller along the lines of a tabletop like Sharpin (I enjoy virtual pinball enough without having a proper machine. NES pinball/Space Cadet/Worms- and Pokémon Pinball is the shit).

@brucep383 it is noticeable, but I'm on VPX 10.7 and 10.8 has some software tweaks that improve the responsiveness. I compare it to switching between an EM to a 90's machine, or 90's to modern Stern. It takes some getting used to but after a while you don't notice it anymore

that's good to know thanks, I built a 24" mini build (with IPS monitor) a couple of years back and am starting on a 32" playfield build now, I think i'll try and stick with a monitor in 4k, more expensive but the response time is v good, I am tempted by a TV like yours though. @@overtinker.projects

There are a couple of clips of the finished cab in the beginning, but yeah, not very in-depth. I was planning to showcase it more in the last video when it is finished and show some more gameplay. That doesn't really fit in the first videos while I'm still building I think

Not everything can be virtual. The whole point is to play with a real ball that is moving due to gravity and what it interacts with. 😂
@overtinker.projects7 сағат бұрын
Not everything can be indeed, but pinball can 😉 virtual pinball isn't the real deal. It certainly has compromises, but it also allows you to play hundreds of pins for a low cost and without taking up huge amounts of space

Real pinball is 3d, and more fun.

You can connect VR glasses to a virtual pinball as well, that makes it 3D. Everyone has a different opinion of course, but I think virtual pinball is as fun as real pins. It is definitely not the exact same thing, but I love playing both
