This video made me miss my mother in law even more 😢 This is the exact same way she used to make curry chicken. I miss the days when we used to stop by her and she always had this , roti , rice or provisions. I was born and raised in India and it's amazing how this recipe is so similar to where it came from and yet, it has the unique Trinidadian twist added - heavily influenced by African cuisine .. I learned something new today.

@@mangopudding5979 I guess you failed to see The Binoy Vudi is from India and he said how amazing the recipe is and how similar to where it came from which is India. Then he said it is heavily influenced by African cuisine, I think an Indian from India where curry was originated would notice the subtle differences now I know that some of you from the islands have a problem with accepting that you may have African heritage and some may not I really don't care but to make an argument about something that was stated overtly is a reading comprehension problem or willful ignorance I will let you decide! I know which one it is and I think it's a little of both!

This took my curry to another level. Not sure if it’s the garam massala that took it up a notch but I always felt like something was missing when I made curry chicken . I made this and couldn’t believe I made it! Love the hosts! They have great chemistry.

Hi, I tried your exact recipe for this curry chicken for my boyfriend (who's not Trini️ 🇹🇹) and it was delicious! The blend of curry toasting in the pot made it extra tasty, as opposed to adding the spices together with the water. Great food, proud to be a Trini! Keep on bubblin'!

Wow! this was perfectly made with so much love and passion. I graduated from UWI St. Augustine 2017. During my stay, my flat mates and I would go buy curry chicken and buss up shot from Hosein's Roti shop Tunapuna (best spot ever!) like every week. I enjoyed every bit of it and thanks to you guys I'm inspired to try this recipe on my own.

Okay this has to be one of the best cooking videos I have ever seen. The kitchen 😍the simplicity of their presentation was perfection because it keeps you focusing only on what they are doing. My curry chicken was boss! The coriander seeds and the cilantro at the end! Man it was good. I also added my potatoes however I mash my potatoes in the water after I cook it and slower add! I will definitely use this recipe going forward!

Actually came here after ordering from a local restaurant and wondering wtf kinda curry chicken didn't have chicken breast THIS EXPLAINS IT. Is there a substitute for culantro? Is there a West Indian online grocery where I can order Culantro and other products from Trinidad? II used to order from a place in the New York area but can’t find it now. I spent a year in Trinidad and Tobago in1967/68 as an exchange nurse at the hospitals and remember well heading to Port of Spain to buy chicken and beef roti at a Roti Shack. When I make curry now, I only use Chief products that I order from Amazon but I would prefer to order from a small business
