I love your method. i used 1 gallon of whole milk $5 , 1 small jar of greek yougurt $3, and some honey and some vanilla extract that i have at home. its to cold now in twincities where i live... so i processing all steps at my friend (he lives in small apt where is warmer than my home) thing turned out great... but the problem is..... he ate most of them, only leave me very tiny jar to take home . (1 gallon of milk is almost 4 litters) well, i m so happy cause this is my very first time to do homemade yougurt Merry Xmas from usa to your family. best wish, damien than

Do you have to take it out of the pan that you cooked the milk in or can you leave it in there? I’m making some right now. Since I didn’t know how long it would be before you answered my question I went ahead and put it in a glass container and covered it with plastic wrap. I just filled out my Evan has a setting called bread proof which is 100°F. I never noticed that before. I was trying to figure out how I was gonna keep my oven at 100°.
