Great job. It's good to know that the 380 can fits. I think I have 1 laying around somewhere. Perfect budget upgrade. 👍🏆

Nice. I forgot to speed check speed on mine before i swapped the motor so cool to see some increase. I 3d printed a new fan mount that lets me use the stock fan in approximately the same location but checking things with the thermal after running around she gets pretty warm. Added some holes in the rear louvers which looked like it helped a bit.

A mount would to relocate the fan on this one is definitely needed! I’ve seen a few guys do the holes in the body, they came out good! Thanks for watching!

Hey man, nice vid!! Just wondering if the Titan motor is a direct bolt in using the stock pinion? Any issues with fit? Just looking for more top end speed with my Typhon Grom without swapping everything (ESC, driveshafts, diffs etc) out and the cost that comes along with a brushless set up. Cheers!

Thanks for the comment and watching. Yes that motors is a direct fit, the connectors are different but easy to use the ones from the old motor.

Thanks, it seems to run a little warmer but I didn’t put the heat sink in, so keep an eye on the temps. Also I just subbed to you, thanks for watching!

Does it need fan to run this motor
@GNCRC4 ай бұрын
@@MM-ks7gi it would definitely help but it doesn’t necessarily have to have it

Glad someone else had this idea, want a little more out of my typhon but can't justify going brushless yet.

Make sure you keep an eye on the motor temps, it does seem to get pretty warm. Thanks for for watching!

@GNCRC for sure, pick up that motor at the LHS today, going to run the stock fan on top of the stock heatsink, I only use the grom to bash on lunch break with the guys at work so it should be fine for a while.

I have 2 groms and I'm satisfied with the speed both of them goes about 25mph and seems to get faster each time I guess they are getting broke in the 380 motors are pretty strong 😊👍
@GNCRC2 ай бұрын
@@richardbrown6762yeah as the brushes wear in more they do run smoother and faster. I was going to do the water break in on that motor but just didn’t have time. My Mojave on the carpet is TOO FAST. You couldn’t tell in my video because I was filming while trying to drive but on that surface it’s way too much.
@richardbrown67622 ай бұрын
@@GNCRC I have the Mojave grom and the typhon grom both are fast enough for me and I'm used to 50mph nitro cars 😯😁👍
