Hi there, I have a similar natural hair color as you do (mainly level 7, partially bit lighter, partially a bit darker: level 5 artificial color doesn't look crazy next to my natural roots, level 7 CAN look too light, level 6 CAN look darker though, depends on the specific color). I also use 6 volume developer for my roots, but only if I have a lot of time. If I don't, I use 20 volume (never go above that though). And I can get my hair almost white with both. For longer hair I'd always recommend the lowest volume one could use. I have short hair, so I don't care as much about that. You shared some very important and valid information, I hope a lot of people see this BEFORE trying to go blonde or trying to touch up their roots. Because yes, anyone could go blonde, even those with super dark hair. But the process will be a bit different for darker hair. Level 7 is quite easy to lift to a very light color, level 4 isn't as easy anymore. Often times darker hair also requires a more intense/more pigmented toner after bleaching. And it is very important to pick the right toner to achieve a nice blonde. I've seen so many mistakes being done by many people, even professionals. That's really the only reason why I wanted to point that out. What one can do, if their bleach doesn't lift light enough within 50 minutes: Apply a freshly mixed batch right over top. That assures that the bleach still lifts during that process. But always check for your hair's integrity (by pulling on a small strand, it shouldn't stretch at all, if it starts to stretch only the slightest bit, you definitely went too far). Bleach isn't low impact, it's high impact and should always be handled with care. Aside from that: The thicker and the more dense your hair, the finer your sections should be and the more product you'll need. About your results: super nice, very pretty, love it on you and you're overall super beautiful imho. Very well done, good job at explaining things and it's also easy to understand imho. You're such a cutie, it's very enjoyable to watch you through the process.

Your title is wrong, first as a hairdresser, I don't keep secret from my client, If a blonde can be achievable and they want to do it at home, I prefer explain to them how to do it than they come back with damage hair and hope me to repair it because sometimes it is just not possible, the hair is completely died and it is really sad and emotionally suffering for the person. Second, NOT anyone can be blonde, yes but not necessary in one session because we don't want the hair to break off. It depends on the level of your hair, if you are a 7 like you, yes it is easier but less easier if you are a level 2 by example and it has to be natural hair like a regrow. It is not the same if your hair is already coloured, trying to get a platinum blonde with a level 5 box die hair in example is really more difficult and will probably take more than one session, it has to be progressive to keep your hair healthy. For the rest of your video, you were right, sections and soaking the hair is really important to get a clean result not a patchy one, not letting the toner to long where your hair is more porous is a good advice too. Finally, your result is well done and beautiful.

The roots are very small that's why the 6 vol worked as the heat of the scalp helped the developer to work more efficiently. If the roots are more grown it would be hard to achieve this level in one go I believe. I really like how it looked on you.

I am darker, maybe Level 6 or 5. For years I bleach my hair with Fanola, 6%/20vol developer, and olaplex. Afterwards I tone it or sometimes just purple shampoo, and i am solid platinim blonde / silver. I bleach on a regular basis. I wait 6 weeks max or max 1,5cm growth. Just make sure to not overlap too much, and avoid exessive heat. I never understood why hairdressers never bleach solid to a level 10. It works fine! I your hair is lighter you'll need a less stron developer of course.

Its one of the most common things people get wrong blonding hair at home. Over processing can occur leading to hair breaking down and turning the texture of cotton candy. Strand tests should ne done first. Level 7 is dark blonde. The reason why so many if us ex-hairdressers used to refuse to blonde black asian hair is due to how much damage it can do and still doesnt guarantee a blonde result.

Very explicative video, thank you. The only problem is that if i buy and use all the needed products that you used, it will nearly cost me a little bit less than visiting a hair salon. Nevertheless, the trick of using pure violet on the roots is helpful. Is it for removing yellowness; Also, all these numbers of dyes for toners that you used, can be replaced by another company like Scwarzkopf Igora or Wella Koleston perfect? I believe they have the same shades, like 10.81 or 10.36.
@konlissalanova17 күн бұрын
Yes, it’s for yellowness removal, but pay attention to my instructions, so that you do not get violet roots😬☝🏻 And yes, you can replace, numbers mean same color directions🤗
@Hazelcake16 күн бұрын
the shade levels (the first number, 1-10) are standardised between brands, but the tone (the number after the dash or dot) is not. so a 10-3 in wella is different to a 10-3 in schwarzkopf. some brands use letters instead of numbers.
@konlissalanova16 күн бұрын
@@Hazelcake wow, I’ve checked and you are right, numbers really differ in Schwarzkopf🤯 I used several brands (except of this), and they were the same. Right point about the letters - so one should check how color shade is called in text, and find the corresponding direction in other brands’ product proposals (either marked with letters or numbers). I’ll add this in video description information. Thank you for pointing this out🙏

Looks like your hair is more about a level 6… depending on the bleach brand you can achieve this blonde with even a lower developer, just leaving the bleach in for at least up to 50 minutes. With blonde me and 7 vol on roots like this length it’s no problem for a lvl 6 hair 😊

Level 7 would be already blond (with yellow and orange). Your roots look 4 to 5 which is a Brown/Dark brown. *If your hair is VIRGIN means never ever dyed or at least grown out of its natural -> its easy to go 5~9 levels up by one dye process to become that white blond. However the developer should be not the maximum, otherwise it could burn your hair-skin

How to bleach when roots are more than 2cm?
@konlissalanovaАй бұрын
I didn’t have such an experience by myself, but as far as I know you should bleach using foil when it’s 2+ cm😓 unless you want an orange line somewhere near the roots😬 and bleaching with foil seems to be way more complicated… I suppose another method is to bleach as I did, get this orange line but then bleach it separately one more time, using a new mixture. But this may be less accurate and less safe for the rest of hair + it depends on how much grown up hair you have, if it is 5 cm it will not work out in any case I think😔
@tinasparkles243429 күн бұрын
Hairdresser here ✋️ ..you apply the bleach off-scalp first, avoiding the area thats 1.5cm from the root. Apply there first, process it until it turns dark yellow. Then wash your hair, dry it, and reapply from roots and over the area you just bleached again. You must take care not to apply the bleach to the rest of your hair that's already blonde. In a salon, we would not wash the hair in between, but just go back in once the mid-root has lightened adequately, and do the on-scalp portion. However because this can be messy when doing it yourself, i suggest the first method. I strongly suggest you dont allow your roots to overgrow before doing a touch up in future as it becomes more complicated to do.
@Rebecca64028 күн бұрын

Do you mean demi-permanent hair dyes under the “toner”? Please, check this🙏 Because if you do, then you cannot, as ammonia or its analogues used there need oxidation, that’s how these products were designed. So they can spoil hair if used improperly, and what’s most important - you will not get the desired result💔
