thanks for the video. I have a question. When you clicked the configuration tab where it showed you how much space one has to create. When the computer automatically creates retore points, after you run out of the amount of space specified under configuration, will the computer delete even the manual system restore points that you made? And can you explain the difference between having a system restore point vs a partition, vs a system image? Thanks for your time.

How do you manually set a restore point for after having already updated a program? Is it possible? I didn't think updating it would be a problem but it has appeared to be that way. Is creating a restore point only available for "protection" before adding/updating software/programs? What can be done if there are no other restore points available? How can I get it back to how it was just yesterday...? Any help is appreciated.

Hello Lee, I need to create a system restore but on a CD instead of the PC hard drive. For some reason, I installed a MS update today, and a system restore was created for me automatically. Later I went to restore the system, and noticed that there are NO system restores on my hard drive, so something is deleting them. I know how to create one manually (which I just did), but I need to create one on a CD so if this happens again, I have one on CD. In fact, it did happen a 2 weeks ago.

I just turned it off and never turned it back on ever since. I get some little bugs here and there but overall its fine. Thanks again.

I have tried this and had used system restore in the past. Now it seems to be "stuck" on one certain date and nothing I do works, incliding as shown here. I seems that this function has been deactivated somehow. This morning when I turned on my PC the Dell back and recovery was running and when it stopped, my PC was resee to what it looked like 1- years ago. What is going on? Was I hacked? Is there anyway to fix this? What happens if I either 1) reinstall WIndows or 2) upgrade to WIndows 10, whihc I wuld rather not do-- like 7. Thank you.

I have been told this should not affect me but I deleted temporary internet files today and my PC is going so slow and KZbin takes a long time to load. Would a restore point help with this problem? I have been told this should not happen as deleting temporary files deletes no important files but Google Chrome will not even load. Considering this has only happened today after I deleted the temporary files then I can only assume this is related.
