How to map out the wiring your early S197 Coyote Swap and Retaining the AC, fuel system

We push on and keep moving forward on the details of swapping the first gen coyote in the 07 GT. I go over what I went did in order to retain the 4.6 AC compressor with the ‪@PowerByTheHourPerformance‬ adapter, started on what's needed for the fuel system, and explain in broad, what's the actual wiring going to entail.

Nice work. I know about wiring and it does take time to do it right. I'm doing a Gen 1 swap in my '02 now and marrying the Coyote and chassis just takes patience and as I see, a good wiring diagram/manual. You have it a bit easier already having the S197 footprint. The SN95 is a challenge to keep it all under the hood and I have the stock PS as well. Keep it up, thanks.

@@MattSoppa True. I'm running stock gauges and using 4.6 PCM for tach (tied into Coyote CNK) and speed OSS. I'll know soon if it all works.🙄 I have a salvage title for the PCM and engine, etc.

@@MattSoppa Thanks, but I have that all sorted out. That part was easy. I'm searching for the pins on the connectors in the Control Pack plugs. Not the PCM, but harness connectors. I believe they are Molex MX150 but need to find both small and large pins. I plan on shortening the length and would rather do that than cut/splice. Going to follow your example on fuel layout. I plan on the C5 filter as well and have all the fittings to connect. SN95 a little tighter for room, but I'll find a way!! Nice documentation on your process and doing the same on mine.

I am starting to do the wiring of my Gen3 Swap on the S197. The challenge I am having is to figure out where to insert the control pack and its BEC but leverage the old BEC and the connections to the Smart Junction Boxes to keep the internals running.

This where I’d suggest doing a 3-2-1 setup and ditching the control pack for my method 😎

For now and budget purposes, I'm just going to use the factory H pipe modified to bolt to the headers so I can use the existing catback. Believe it's all 2.5"

Is that in-line connector @15:15 also from the 5.0 Body harness? Would you happen to know what the P/N for that if so? Is it also a WPT-1393 type connector? I'm just curious because I don't have a 5.0 body harness and if I could get a repair harness with that connector, I should be good to go.

Talking about the used, non repair looking inline? Off the top of my head, I believe so. It's from the 5.0 body side yes, but beware it plugs into both the inline of the trans and the engine. Good indicator is the inline from the body side going to the engine only uses 4 wires.

@@screamingyeller8853 I don’t anticipate any issues. I’ve done so much studying and restudying of the circuits that it all makes sense. Only question mark is the Ac And cruise really. Fairly certain for cruise I’ll need a 2010 wheel but that’s tbd.

It does not. 2010 is its own year in that regard and many others as you may know
