You don’t have to make the leagues playable ;-). You can set in the database to load all the players from a specific country. Therefor your loading times are good as it does not need to simulate games in those country’s. But you do have all the nice players coming true.

@@yessirglizzy4966 there is a video from secondyellowcard if I am correct about this. Somewhere in the country picker you can select the size of your database. Then you can choose advanced or something similar and pick if you want to load other players from non playable countries as well. But check the video it’s better explained lol. Haha

you don't need adaptability if you have for example English scout and you scout England. its much more important determination, cuz that makes him more determined and you have much better reports

Yes mate, as mentioned adaptability is all about how quick a scout can adapt to a new country, I.e one they have limited to no knowledge of - Jake

I'm running my first FM23 campaign as a lower league team in the USA on the 7-division workshop edit. I only have approval for one or two scouts, and have my scouting range set to national and a recruitment focus of any players of any star level but I'm not getting /any/ player reports. Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?

exact same problem bro but i am playing in Australia first league i have 2 good Argentina scouts that both have at the lowest exceptional knowledge of every country in south africa yet i have generated 3 player reports in 3 in month in game :/ also both have 14+ in both scouting skills

Always great content Jake, this was incredibly helpful! How in depth do you get with the advanced database setting when setting up a game? Or are adding leagues more important? I can't seem to find players in some regions even though I have good knowledge and the leagues enabled

I always send a top scout to solely match all club transfer objectives ie club vision this is found at the bottom of further details section

@@SkillaTilYYaSkaFFa this is found in the recruitment section on the scouting page then set whatever search you are looking for then you have 2 tabs on that page main&further click on the further or additional tab and right down the bottom you will see club objectives in club objectives, if you click on it on this page it will highlight all the transfer preferences set as board culture by the board at the start of the season by doing it this way you will never upset the board if they say SIGN PLAYERS U23 FOR FIRST TEAM AND DONT SIGN ANYONE OVER 30

I have the exact same scouting focus, with good scouts and get absolutely nothing! I've even put CA and PA down to 1 star and still nothing, is this a glitch? At the club I was at previous was getting loads but nothing here, despite the club being a similar level

How do you do regen scouting? You just set a focus between 15 and 17 y/o plus lower to 1 silver star and at least a 4 gold star potential?

I've had a lot of trouble with the new recruiting focuses in FM23. I send scouts to countries they know. Some focuses find tons of players. Some focuses find no players. Zero. I send a Brazilian scout to Brazil and he finds NO players. Makes no sense. I hope they fix it.

many things about this game is really good.. but the match engine has always been crap.. since I played it from the start it has not evolved that much.. still a lot of stupidity of what the playes does and unrealistic moves..

i totally disagree actually. for the first time we can see actually realistic football. players playing through balls? strikers sqauring the ball. defenders covering each other. and so forth. what we can blame Fm for is for a lack of inovation. but the match engine is truly the best is has ever been.
