It'll control a GT1000, no problem. You can select presets, and (I'm fairly sure) that you can also control individual effects in a patch. The GT1000 doesn't support bidirectional features like tuner display or the ability to download preset names, though.

Yes, setup with the LT is basically the same.

For pro touring rigs, it is a huge pain to run a long 5 pin AND a long 7 pin downstage, but so be it, someday there will be a pro connector, but for now this is it.

We now have a little adapter box that combines the two MIDI connections plus power together so you only need to run one 7-pin MIDI cable to the KPA.
