How to measure Earth Resistance using digital earth tester | Earth resistance meter
In this video tutorial I practically explain how to measure earth resistance with digital earth tester 4105a.
In my previous video I showed what is earth resistance in Hindi language and how to use earth resistance meter or how to use digital earth resistance tester which was digital earth tester kyoritsu.
But in this video I completely described digital earth resistance tester connection earth resistance measurement in hindi language by using kyoritsu earth tester 4105a it means this is earth resistance test practical.
We know that Earthing or grounding is a protection procedure we protect our electrical appliances electrical apparatus equipment and electric wiring by grounding the whole system with pipe earthing method and in this tutorial I also explain earthing and grounding difference or difference between earthing and grounding in hindi language.
After watching this video You will learned completely about digital earth tester working and earth electrode resistance test procedure or earth electrode testing which is also called earth continuity testing with the help of digital earth resistance meter which is
digital earth tester model 4105a.
The value of earthing for home or earth resistance value is less the 1 ohm for domestic electrical earthing system and by using this special instrument we can also measure earthing voltage which is faulty voltages grounds to the earth in case of any fault.

I think it is necessary to remove equipment/building side connection before testing the earth resistance. Other wise high voltage will feed in to the building electrical system.

Your thinking is incorrect because earth megger does not backfeed high voltages in to the building electrical system.

If we fix green wire at 5m and red wire at 10m, the reading of earthing reduces whereas if we fix both yellow and red wires near to green then reading is higher. So is there any standard of distance with respect to earthing value ??? Also, should we connect these in a triangular shape or green wire would be in center and red and yellow wires would be opposite of each other i.e., in form of a line ???

Sir, What should be the earth voltage? Please mention at first. To proceed further at 20 ohm range. What precautions should be taken before each step.

Earth voltage should not exceed 10 V. If earth voltage is less than 10 V you can proceed normally. If earth voltage exceeds 10 V then you have to first reduce it. Common reasons: 1.Corrosion of earth electrode, 2. Very dry pit. Remedy for reason 1 is to change the corroded electrode with new one. Remedy for reason 2 is to wet the pit by pouring water. Then while measuring resistance/voltage/amps, using any meter, we have to always start from the highest range of the meter to be safe. So its better if the meter has auto ranging facility. Hope this helps.
