How to Measure Valve Lash for Camshaft Bucket Sizing

Finaly foud a very nice and clear video for this topic, i am now in the fhase of remounting my camschaft and tappets back after dismateling the head, seems there is a big issue on the measurment taken so far an all seem off specs, althoug these are remouted the same way they came off, wil folow all the steps and see the outcome to have everything back to Original spec for a Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost 140hp whit FD type camschafts,

For real, when I search for it I get flooded by videos by "world mechanics", "Auto repair guys," and "electrical car repair live." They make videos tearing the engine apart out of the car already and when they get to where they're going to talk about the adjustment the video ends and they never come back to it. I wasted my time with their videos. Yours is one of the most informative one I've found. Thanks again

Definitely gonna help when I do this on my yota motor i got on the stand. Just got the new rod bolts installed, now im back to the cylinder heads and wanna get those perfect before throwing it back together

A simple enough system just need to find enough "Timing" to do it properly. Nice video

this is exactly what I was looking for. My ONLY complaint is that for me I have a ford focus 2.0 with a 2.3 head and crower springs... AND the spring a slightly wider that factory to the buckets don't exactly fit over every spring like OEM. you have to persuade it a little bit with a soft dead blow. BUT my friend if you know how how to help with that issues please let me know

I'm pretty sure they make buckets in different circumferences for both inside and outside diameter. It seems you need a slightly larger inside diameter bucket to clear the larger springs.

@@KarzKreated yeah thats what i'm trying to figure out I have 2 full sets for a 2.0 head and I can take the time and test fit 32 buckets

So for example i got a 202 which is my smallest bucket and use that on all the valves to test the lash to get my numbers from your formula, i also did the 1 bucket at a time method with the cam resting and the numbers were the same with it all torqued down when i wrote my numbers down just for a future reference.
