How to make the insane setting on the line 6 spider 3 amp sound BETTER! To do this trick you must use headphones. It wont work otherwise. plug your headphones into the amp. Take the adapter (thats what i think it is called but it may be called something else) and plug it into the amp HALFWAY. Make sure the headphones are completely plugged into the adapter and that the adapter is plugged in enough to hear sound but not in all the way. You should get a better sound!

Aye man! I just switched to electric after playing exclusively acoustic for about the last 8 or 9 years. I'm having a hard time with fast chugging. My pick gets "stuck" sometimes. I don't see how people are so consistent with it. I'm playing a PRS with a 24.5"scale and .10's tuned to D standard. Should I go to .11's to get more string tension? or would that even matter? How do bigger or smaller strings effect it? Any tips on how I'm holding the pick? or anything really. I'm getting frustrated. Trying to play "Sultans Curse" by Mastodon. I'm not a beginner by any means, but didn't have to chug on my Taylor. Lol. I had to learn to grip the pick completely different to even play metal. Also had to learn to have "feather fingers" because my PRS has jumbo frets
@ChrisMacheteMusic7 жыл бұрын
Hey Adam, ya man, fast chugging can be a pain. I actually perfected finger tapping before I cold do a proper and constant chug. Trying different styles of picks is key. Try a few. Strings might help as well, but I like doing the rhythm slow and then crank it up. Don't over squeeze the pick, relax your fingers. Funny, I find my younger students who play a lot of video games are good at it. Best of luck buddy!
@YeOldeMachina7 жыл бұрын
Chris Machete Music, thanks for the tip man! I figured out that a different pick was all I needed. One more rounded on the tip, specifically. Now I'm chugging like a champ. lol. Just learned the intro to "Laid to Rest" by Lamb of God. It's fast alternate picking and chugging, and I have no issues with a different pick. I didn't think I was ever gonna get it, but with a different pick, I was blown away at how easy it was.
@YeOldeMachina4 жыл бұрын
@Juanthe3rd I dont remember exactly what pick I was using at the time, but chugging works better for me with a light pick. Also, I've heard a lot of people say they use picks with more narrow, pointed edges. The opposite was true for me. I get the most consistency from ones with a wide, rounded edge. The way you grip the pick also can make a big difference. For me, I choke up on it to where most of the pick is between my finger and thumb.
