Thanks for your video. Ours had not been used for several months and then would not deploy, with a motor error on the iPilot. When I took the cap off of the trim unit it was full of water and of course corrosion and the large belt cog was locked up. Quick fix to clean up and free the cog but it is a poorly designed seal allowing water to ingress. I see that on later models they have redesigned the seal. Thanks you so much, saved me heaps of time working out where the problem would be and what was already inside the trim unit. Cheers Paul

The sticking is a known issue, whereby the cast housing makes the unit unable to push off the parked position. The local MK guys take a little bit off the casting joint to allow it to run smoother.

Hi it's actually due to a worn worm gear assembly in the trim unit itself. See here kzbin.info/www/bejne/nX_NdJmcfbyhqMU

Do you have a video that shows disassembling the trim module? I am having the same issue with my 2020 unit as well where I have to give it a push for it to pop out to deploy. Once it deploys, it operates correctly and trims up and down with ease but it’s just on the initial start to deploy that I have to give it some help. The only way that I can get it to auto deploy somewhat by itself is to loosen the belt with the Allen screw so much that it kind of flops around, I should say, and not as tired as it should be.

As tight as it should be…” the belt”

HI Toney I have that video coming but I would advise do same as I did and get a new trim module. Your problem is definitely the trim module and is easier to fix by replacing the whole unit. once you have done that I would then take your old one apart to diagnose and repair.
