I'm just starting out on Blender after several years on 3DS Max. I know how to draw, I know how to model, but I'm still confused by some shortcuts and commands in Blender. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Thank you sir! I created the rim directly from a cylinder, but you helped me a lot with the tire model. Now I need to model the brake caliper, add some texture and my first car in Blender is ready.

When I apply all transforms to my circle the mirrored section gets blown all over the place. Any ideas as to why?
@akagispeedstars Жыл бұрын
use ctrl + a: all transforms, do this after you pick it as an array
@RC-Heli835 Жыл бұрын
@@akagispeedstars ok thx! The other issue I have is with the empty plain. As soon as I select it as the array target my tire tread1 scatters all over the place. The few times I had it close to working the tire tread would twist all out of sorts.

I have a question. When he's duplicating the rim at around 15:52, why not just use mirror modifier instead? Cuz when I tried to duplicate the rim to the other side and bridge edge loop them, sth looks odd, like they are overlapping... :(

Great video! I'm a ZBrush user , but I think Blender is better for solids. I'm still discovering it, however I found how easy and quick you can model solids!. This wheel is an example. I will go more in depth to find out more on this wonderful software. Thanks!

when I go to extrude after mirroring it, they both go right. What I would like, is for one side to go left and the other side to go right. I'm trying to make a tire and my tires Tred runs the same way it's not a left and right sided tire Tred. if you know what I mean all I want to do is make the perfect Coker 520 tire and my Tred runs the same way but when I add a mirror my Tred ends up left and right, but let's say I got the Tred to be the right way now when I extrude it both sides go right instead of left and right need some help with that Thanks

Hi! Probably a stupid question but... cannot grab the circle with eyedropper data block (as you do on 3:05). Any ideas why? Same with empty (plain axes for example). Thanks in advance.
@12robotboy_ Жыл бұрын
It's because there are 2 types of circles : the standard which you can have from "mesh" tab (when you do SHIFT A ) and the bezier circle which is in the "curve" tab, you need to pick the bezier circle to use the curve modifier.

Hey berk this is Rakesh:), I want to know that ,if we are graduated from a Italian design school with bachelor's in car design can we expect even 50%of skilled students gets a intern in design studio from the whole class

You wont get a job. There are no jobs for car designers
@BerkKaplanDesigner2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rakesh! %50 of whole class is difficult. But amongst the skilled ones, with good portfolio, yes it is possible :) In my time we were around 20 students in masters class, 3-5 of us had internship opportunity right after studies. Focus on your skills, push yourself over the limits, create an amazing portfolio and of course you have a chance! ;)
