It really surprises me that five years later and these kind of cameras have become even more popular for video, there is still no microphone headphone adapter that amplifies the headphone output.

You say there's no volume control for the headset. Can it be heard or is it so low that you can miss things like hum, background noise and other audio issues?

This a great product, but check reviews before buying one for use with your intended camera. It's works fine with most Panasonic mirror-less cameras and Canon DSLR's, but getting usable audio into a BMPCC is a different matter entirely. Meter reading will not be enough to detect any unpleasant audio like room hum unless it's clipping. I still use head phones when it matters.

The real professional solution is an external hdmi monitor with headphone output or an external monitor/recorder like BM Video Assist or, again, an external audio recorder like Zoom or Tascam

cinema5D .com I agree generally speaking about you but actually I didn't find a reason to buy that instead of a Tascam DR-40 for example. Only few dollars/euros more and you have a way better solution. Backup audio, monitoring, wonderful mics, xlr's inputs etc

Yes. Being able to monitor audio out of the CAMERA and not out of the MICS is the only thing that makes sense. Otherwise you're wasting your time.

I know a better solution. Tascam-Dr-40 with a stereo splitter. You can record and monitor your output + you have a portable recorder build in microphone + 2 xlr input, simultaneous 4 channel recording to SD and to the camera. And the price is similar.

Cemre Ozkurt yeah, just use an external audio recorder. You can mount on camera or move it where you want it

cameras are slowly turning into iphones and reverse that sentence, works too.

In size sure. But iPhones dont offer you full control over things like apeture, ISO speed and so on. It's all done automatically on an iphone so the quality is not as consistent as an experienced person who uses full manual settings on their camera.

This is not a reasonable solution, because although it assures you your audio is making it into your microphones, you have no way of knowing if it's being recorded by your camera correctly. I've used devices like this many times only to have to reshoot scenes because of bad audio. In a documentary setting, forget it. The only way is to monitor out of the camera, not out of the microphone. (See Marco Tidei's comment below).
