Loc-Tite can be really good or really, really bad. Andrew goes over some of the do's and dont's when using thread lockers on pistol optic screws.

Awesome video, made me feel a lot better about how I mounted my optic. I bought a new Springfield Echelon about a month back, and recently mounted a Holosun 407K to it. The cut-outs on the slide expose the extractor spring, and I noticed it as I used some compressed air to clean out the hole before I screwed the optic down. I put loctite on the screw, and my buddy said it didnt look like I used enough. I wasn't gonna risk locking anything down that's internal to the slide though. I can handle light machining and smithing; Im not so confident dealing with internal parts that can't be field stripped, much less if they get glued shut.

How long should you let it sit before you shoot the gun?

Not long. Couple of hours at most.

Don’t want to clean the screw and hole is free of oil and old thread locker (iso alch)
