I was here to see how the chains attach to the skids. Drilling the hole and running a pipe in there is a good idea.

That's a nice little building , put a wood stove in it and i'd live in that thing . You could've hooked it to the back of the tractor but you got it moved anyway , that front loader is nice for so many things

Enjoyed the shed moving video. Pops Sonny was certainly a huge help with this project. Good idea to not mess with the landscape since you don't currently have a water issue.

I bought a set of hay forks with my 4540 -- I use them all the time -- it would have worked great on that building better than the bucket -- you did good

Nice move. We moved our 8 X 12 chicken coop And our 10 X 10 shed from my old house out to the homestead, about 8 miles. That was interesting to say the least.

Think I would have hooked the chain to the 3 point and dragged the shed. You could still raise the three point and lift the runners off the ground.
@HamiltonvilleFarm4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I did another one that way 👍

Was there anything inside the shed when you moved it? I’m about to move one just like it, but just a few feet with some stuff in it.

Yes. We cleaned it out. Maybe a couple hundred pounds of stuff total.

Probably, if you hook it up right.

I wonder if it would have worked to hook the chain on the 3 point in the rear somehow, and lifted and turned it that way. Just curious.
@HamiltonvilleFarm5 жыл бұрын
I thought about that. I'm curious if the weight would have been too much for that way? That's a good question though. Maybe I'll try it that way with the other sheds I'll need to move in the future.
@ffjokere35 жыл бұрын
@@HamiltonvilleFarm I think the 3 point can lift more than the FEL but I could be wrong, that Mahindra FEL is a beast....
@4x4Moses5 жыл бұрын
Why not pull from the back draw bar?
@HamiltonvilleFarm5 жыл бұрын
I was afraid the front end would lift off the ground because of the weight. If you pull while backing the front end will push down and the back end will lift .and the back weighs more than the front...but I think when I move the next shed I'll at least try it that way to see if it works better. Thanks for the comment!👍
@jamescady32874 жыл бұрын
Better to pull from the draw bar if possible. Pulling and lift ing with the bucket would tweak your bucket out of shape. If you need weight in the front a bucket of dirt or a log in the grapple will. Do glad it all worked out. Take care.
