I concur. I was especially convicted about the gratitude turning into pride and not letting pride turn into ingratitude. The joy of the Lord is our strength and, like Doug quoting Paul said--What do we have that we weren't given? Thank You, Lord for all of it.

@@mrtodd3620 My husband doesn't own a coat and tie. We are a blue collar family. Neither of our fathers wear coats or ties. I actually want to ask you what is the inward attitude that we can't have without a coat and tie? I don't disagree that clothing matters, though. Trendy clothing is one thing, but modesty is as much as we can do to reflect our respect (personally).

Our blue state governor just pitched a message that businesses should relocate here from places like Texas because he will guarantee that here their employees can always get an abortion. How sick is that? The Adversary has upside down virtues.

Im just waiting for the secular death cult of the left to admit what they are. Already in Canada for example their VA is offering MAID (medical assistance in dying) to vets and supposedly expanding it to make it more accessible to TEENAGERS. There’s a kind of wickedness in that and in the worship of abortion that runs even deeper than fornication and sexual degeneracy. Something that hates human life. Something so absolutely demonic.

Ngl about a year or two ago I started to want to move out North and West to a smaller town or city (DFW is too big for my tastes) and Moscow is pretty tempting. The idea of not just forging my own path, with God going ahead and I following, but of specifically venturing out to somewhere where I can be a part of something important just by being a Godly man and being present and willing to pitch in wherever I’m needed. Somewhere where I can be a part of something like Moscow. Not to mention somewhere with actual potential to find a good wife. Where im at now all the girls and guys are egalitarian “conservative” Christians who believe in 50-50 marriages and are left-of-center. I’m a staunch right wing traditional, biblical conservative. And I am not happy with the evanjelly energy I get from the young adults group at my church. I don’t hold it against them. And as far as doctrines such as orthodox reformed theology goes in a number of important areas such as salvation they’re solid. The older members and my pastor are decently solid too. Im gonna be honest, that’s incredibly appealing to me. Before I was thinking about South Dakota or Wyoming. I suppose it’s worth praying about. Although I don’t know how well I’d fit in because I’m a machinist/operator by trade. Blue-collar. I don’t know how well I’d fit in when a bunch of my peers in my age group are probably white collars, going to university and whatnot. Again I guess it’s something to pray about.
