I’ve watch both of you before but for some reason this episode was really emotional for me. As a Navy Veteran, Mother, and person who is overweight and knew what to do but just didn’t feel worthy enough to take care of herself. I’m on that journey of making small progress but progress non the less and relearning what I once already knew, which was that I can do hard things and do it all the time. Reminding myself that I am strong and resilient. Love you guys! 💕

@@ContraPsalm1 You find the change that is sustainable for you. Small changes over time make a huge difference. When you choose to change you have to make the lifestyle change nonnegotiable. I eat a certain meal plan and I stay with it with fewer and fewer "cheats" as time goes on. I pick the exercise and the days I do it on. When Monday comes and I don't feel like it, I don't negotiate with my weakness and I remember why I started this. Small steps my friend, keep it sustainable.

That is great, glorified bullshit reasoning. But everybody that is successful in any endeavor has walked the path. But keep telling yourself you’re better and tougher than everybody else David Goggins.

@@optimizingaging When Goggins says, "stay hard" he's not talking to you. You need to get hard to stay hard. Too much insecurity in you. Toughen up.

Yup, same here. Four times a week for a hard work out. It's nice thing to look at my results of my dedication. 200 to 160 pounds and got off all my medications. 👍👍

So so good. Feels like sitting in Dr. G’s living room hanging out. Informative and personable. Appreciate Dr. G’s very high level of integrity regarding podcast content. And how she encourages and also challenges Mari.

Mari is wonderful and truly a wealth of knowledge! I feel like many women will benefit from this conversation as it is so relatable. When she talked about going home and feeling uncomfortable it hit so close to home 🧡

At around 44 minutes when you talk about owning your situation, it reminded me of the quote, "Are you going to stand there and bleed, or do something about it?"

Very insightful viewpoints expressed by this young lady. Sounds like she's been through the wringer in her journey and earned some well deserved wisdom along the way.

Such an important message right now with social media. Learning to appreciate a message but have a filter based on what is right for us is a skill you have to practice. And then, blinders up. Choose your influence and guard it!

Most BPD is trauma-based and can be treated. BPD at the core is emotional disregulation. Dialectical behavior therapy is one treatment modality that has been proven very helpful for BPD.

Idea - add people - like me - that are looking for advice. Opposite of experts. For example, I volunteered to have my personal trainer use me in her post - so that I can show/inspire others when I reach my goal fit body. I want people overweight to share their struggle - now. ❤

I'm no expert but to me she still looks like she has systemic inflammation, I wouldn't take her health advice. I prefer functional medicine doctors and biohackers like Dave Asprey. And the British accent is too much to handle. I'm tapping out at just over halfway through. I tried to enjoy it but it was rough...
