Those gum/foam griptapes stop working when they are dusty (which is very usual), wear out faster than a usual griptape, do not have grip with suede (only with outsoles and depends on their material). I do not recommend it, but if you're fine cleaning your grip all the time then maybe you'll like them. They save shoes for very long time.

Yeah, it gets real dirty, but i just carry a wash rag with me when i go out and skate and you just have to dampen it with water then rub the grip, boom, problem solved. (:

That ain't foam grip tape that's DKL non abrasive griptape and foam is usually thicker not paper thin but if you want some shock absorbent griptape then you can look at undergrip is your usual griptape but thicker

preventative maintenance is the best way to make your shoes last. before you ever skate your shoes super glue the stitching in the wear areas. and youll be fine for awhile then once you start wearing a hole i just dab a dot of shoe goo in that area every day so its not globbed on and and you just dont wear the hole bigger. if you keep up with that then you can skate them for at least 2 months. laces just a drop of super glue on the wear spot of the lace so it doesnt tear down the material. what terrain you skate make your shoes wear differently too, transition and skate parks wear down your shoes less than skating street. i work on my switch just as much as my regular stance so my board and my shoes wear evenly.

uhh it’s not a skateshoe more of a lifestyle shoe inspired from the ave pro but I’d like to see how well it does for skating too. although I’m skeptical of the mesh or knit material they use, I don’t think there’s duracap under nor is reinforced in high wear areas.

This was not a good video. Every idea to make them last longer was pretty much debunked right after. This and the actual reviews are turning more into self advertising than anything. @@christianflores I'm pretty sure you know what I mean🙃 There still are plenty of unreviewed (well good reviews at least) out there like the Westgate New Balance, Adidas Copa Nationale, Nike Grant Taylor Blazer, Etnies Marana Slip XLT, Trucks, Decks and so on. Or try getting some smaller shoe brand on your laces. Footprint shoes with actual FP insoles and your laces would be dope! Maybe Axion, I don't know. This message is way too long anyway 😅

I got to give him props for at least doing the video before promoting his own stuff at the end. But it did kind of feel like it was all a set up to get you to buy his laces. I will say that I used to hate shoe goo until I learned how to properly use it. I think a proper tutorial would have made this video a lot better.
