Please don't wind your k6 grinder past it's zero point. Coming from Kingrinder themselves, the zero mark IS the true zero point. The extra wind back is to protect the burr set. They also recommend you don't turn grinder with th setting lower than 15 clicks or you may damage burrs. I have emailed them and got those answers.

@@mycoffeeshow111 no problem, after watching you video I learnt to dismantle and clean. I turn mine out to largest setting which is five clicks from zero on fourth round and leave it there. After reassemble it was set as per new. I brush it out after each use and it seems to get most grinds out as when I pulled it apart there was very little missed. I emailed the company after accidentally turn tighter than zero to clean when I thought I was turning it to open it to largest setting (4am coffee moment 🤦🏻♂️) and was concerned that I had done damage. The first strip down and clean showed all was good as they said should be as I hadn't tried to turn burs

Take a look at the 3 inner bearings when cleaning your grinder, there is a good chance that there is a lot of rust on them after a few months of use.. Speaking from experience
@mycoffeeshow1113 ай бұрын
Thx for the info. Do you use RDT alot ? One would expect this grinder to last a bit longer than few months.
@Mastrenich3 ай бұрын
@@mycoffeeshow111 About RDT is something I usually do, not always, but 1 spray is part of my workflow when I grind for espresso. It seems as if the chrome coating comes off on some areas in the first place for no reason, and that's where the rust starts to grow on the steel underneath. That shouldn't happen indeed, even the manual itself says you can use RDT as long as you do it in an external container before adding the beans to the grinder. It is probably a good grinder with cheap bearings, and it's sad because I was very happy with how it was working..

if you are using this grinder daily to grind lets say one single and one double espresso amount of coffee, how often do you think it should be disassembled and brushed?
@mycoffeeshow1113 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t worry about it that much. If I used it daily I would probably done deep cleaning every couple of months but I would use the brush after each use to remove any visible coffee dust.

@NeverMind3534 ай бұрын
The manual says you shouldn't remove the static part of the burrs for precision reasons and you should never be in a position where you have to remove them. I assume it's going to be hard to reinstall them perfectly centered and your grind is going to be inconsistent.
