Does the electronics inside recognize that it has been refilled and give some info on the screen as to how much juice is inside?
@skill.3 ай бұрын
no, there is no liquid sensor, it simply counts the number of cigarette puffs. (calculated for 25,000, indicated on the box)
@knightofcydonia1192Ай бұрын
@@skill. Pro-tip: you can reset the puff count by doing a quick short of the the circuit board. I've been doing this for about 4 years now, so I've got this down to a science. I've easily saved hundreds of dollars doing this, because it lets me re-use the vape until its coil is finally burned up and its time to get a new one. I've made a 9000 puff vape last 3 weeks before by doing this. NOTE: The reason this message is so massive is because I've been extremely detailed in my instructions, and tried to impart all of the trial and error I've learned over the years. But the actual process takes seconds and its really not complicated at all. You might burn up the coils in a few vapes for your first few tries until you get the flow of how long you have to short the board out for, but that's fine--they were going to go into the trash anyhow if you didn't at least try to rescue them; but after a few tries its absolutely effortless and I can do it perfectly in less than 20 seconds at this point: STEPS: 1.) Take a piece of flexible copper wire that's roughly 3-4 inches long. any gauge of wire can work, but I use a small 3 inch long piece of flexible stranded copper wire that I cut out of the inside of an old dead extension cord and stripped half and inch of the wire's plastic jacker off on both ends of the wire with a pair of scissors so that the copper strands are sticking out / more easily accessible; its an 18 gauge thickness copper wire piece. But you can go even as low as 24 gauge or lower (the super thin copper jewelry wire even, but use a longer piece of it, say 4-5 inches long instead). Using a piece of copper wire wire that has a plastic jacket on the outside is recommend as the wire can get a little hot during the process, but the thicker the wire you use, the less heat the wire will accumulate. If you don't have any jacketed copper wire and only have a piece of bare copper wire to use, then use a longer piece of it, like 4-5 inches long instead of 3-4 inches, and charge the battery up. The thicker the wire's gauge, the less heat it builds up. 2.) Open up any disposable vape with an expired puff counter in it (works with like 99% of all disposable vapes), locate the battery and take the sticky protective pads off of the positive and negative poles of the battery (OR just find the red and black wires coming off of the battery if the battery isn't easy to get at). 3.) Look at the wires and follow both the positive (red) and the negative (black) wires to wherever they are soldered onto the electronic circuit board, take your copper wire from step 1. _(If the circuit board isn't easy to get at, you can alternatively follow the positive and negative wires to where they connect to the little circular LED light that almost all vapes have inside somewhere, and you can use the positive (pole connecting to the red wire) and negative (pole connecting to the black wire) instead of the poles on the circuit board, but this LED light pole method should only be used in an emergency against very stubbornly sealed vapes)_ 4.) Touch one end to the negative pole on the circuit board first and keep it pressed onto the negative pole. _(ALWAYS START THIS PROCESS ON THE NEGATIVE (BLACK WIRE'S POLE) FIRST!)_ 5.) With one end of the wire still pressed against the negative (black wire) pole on the circuit board (or LED), curl the other end of your flexible copper wire around over to where the positive (red wire) pole and then press it against the positive pole. 6.) Hold the wire like as explained with one end pressed onto the negative pole and the other end onto the positive pole for about 1-3 seconds and then take the wire off the poles. This will complete the circuit of the battery and short-circuit the circuit board (a very rudimentary version of the type of mechanism that turns a computer off and on when you press the power button). This effectively resets the memory of the counter on the board that keeps track of the puff count. Re-assemble it. The vape's LCD screen might show that its at like 1% puffs now or some even show 0%. Its lying. You should be able to hit it just fine now. If its sitting at 1% puffs on the screen, simply hit the vape as normal and whenever the puff count drops to 0% then this will reset the memory of the LCD screen and it will restart the screen's counter back at 100%. If the vape is claiming its at 0% on the screen after you've shorted it, do exactly the same as I said above if it was at 1%. Simple hit it as normal and eventually the LCD screen will reset its counter back up to 100% for you. MUST-READ NOTES: When you bridge the poles, some vape types will start hitting on their own while you're holding the wire onto both poles -- if it starts hitting on its own, immediately take the wire off of the poles because its successfully been shorted. Some vape types will appear to do nothing while the wire is touching both poles. In such cases, if the vape happens to have an LCD screen, just watch the LCD screen on the vape while holding the wire on the two poles. When you see the LCD screen flash on, take the wire off because its been successfully shorted. Its much easier if the vape has an LCD screen If the vape has a full battery or a high charge in its battery still, you might need to only touch the ends of the copper wire to the two poles for just half a second to 1 second. The more juice that the battery has + the thicker the gauge of copper wire you're using = less contact time needed to short it. So if I am using a relatively thick copper wire (like the 18 gauge piece I took out of that dead extension cord), and the vape's battery is at like 60-100%, I would press one end of the copper wire to the negative pole and hold it there, then press the other end to the positive pole and hold them there for like half a second before either the vape starts trying to hit itself or the LCD screen on it flashes on indicating its been successfully shorted and you can let go and reassemble it. ADDENDUM: Just be careful not to hold the wires on too long otherwise you can burn up the circuit board or the atomizer coil suspended in the oil pretty fast. -Peace

Can you show how to safely remove the batteries for recycling? I have tons of these laying around and don't want the lithium to end up in a landfill. They can also catch fire in a garbage truck, we really shouldn't be throwing these in the trash with batteries still inside.

Circuit Bending 鱼 don't gNO\/vS everything. ;-) Malum In Se/Malum Prohibitum Nothing moral requires authority. Authority is the claim to the exclusive exemption to morality. It is a monopoly on violence. Violence is a violation because it is the initiation of aggression, not self-defense. Offense/defense are ontologically distinct. All crime has a legal equivalent (ie, taxation is extortion). Every government is founded on Ad Baculum. Petitio Principii can and will be used against you. Warren v. District of Columbia Town of Castle Rock v. Gonzales DeShaney v. Winnebago County Lozito v. New York City Salinas v. The highest Abrahamic value is Ignorance of Good and Evil. It's right there in Genesis. They worship Yaldabaoth, God of the Scapegoaters: God blames Man; Man blames Woman; Woman blames Serpent; Serpent blames God, more accurately - the Serpent defines God. Those who do not perform the cult's rite can never enjoy full social status. Symbols of the castrated member, the tie and bow-tie, are mandatory accoutrements of the political wardrobe and phallic monuments are erected to commemorate the minds conquered long ago. Brute force is no longer necessary. The capitalist priest class of Psychiatry, working in tandem with the State bureaucracy, regulates and polices the new Restriction and gelding of desire. Psychiatrists, along with other legal arbiters, help to obscure justice with grey areas of intentionality, mental state, etc. Some mistake this as a system of Liberty, ignorant of the fact that Psychiatric Control is a cornerstone of the perfected Totalitarian State. All modern illnesses come from the absurd and tragic struggle of man's inability to bridle Nature. This dogma echoes perpetually, omnisciently by understanding voices in self-help books, billboards, radio commercials and television talk shows to convince the public to practice continual self-suppression and hormonal restraint. Any deviation is an indication of something severely wrong with the individual. Perhaps Lycanthropic Transformation Rites are in some way a Psychic Preparation for the millennial calamities that are thought to lie ahead. All the powers, all the institutions speak of themselves through denial, in order to attempt, by simulating death, to escape their real death throes. [...] For example: it would be interesting to see whether the repressive apparatus would not react more violently to a simulated holdup than to a real holdup. Because the latter does nothing but disturb the order of things, the right to property, whereas the former attacks the reality principle itself." - Jean Baudrillard (Simulacra & Simulation - 1981) "Our rulers, who rule our symbols, and so rule a symbolic class of life, impose their own infantilism on our instituitions, educational methods, and doctrines. In turn, they produce leaders afflicted with the old animalistic limitations. The vicious circle is completed; it results in a general state of human un-sanity, reflected again in our instituitions. And so it goes, on and on." - Alfred Korzybski (Science and Sanity: An Introduction to Non-Aristotelian Systems and General Semantics - 1933) "I am a cosmopolitan." - Diogenes "If I could not be Alexander, I should wish to be Diogenes." - Alexander the Great "A man is no less a slave because he is allowed to choose a new master once in a term of years." - Lysander Spooner (No Treason: Constitution of No Authority - 1867) "It is incredible how as soon as a people become subject, it promptly falls into such complete forgetfulness of its freedom that it can hardly be roused to the point of regaining it, obeying so easily and willingly that one is led to say that this people has not so much lost its liberty as won its enslavement." - Étienne de la Boétie (Discours de la servitude volontaire ou le Contr'un - 1577) "Leadership in government is political power, and political power is an official form of antagonizing the people.
