How to open the cover of Razer Deathadder

EYES HERE! DO AT YOUR OWN RISK
How to open the cover of the Razer Deathadder. You can also clean it by using small cloths.
You just need:
Knife
Small Cloth
If you want to put alcohol or any liquid that cleans you can but just be careful :)

Thanks to your method half of the plastic things inside broke. DO NOT USE THIS METHOD. Take the time to open under with the screws and from there you'll have access to the part that keeps the cover attached.

Zhen Hong No it's not alright, I broke three of the four plastic bits that keep it in place! I luckily was able to fix it with super glue, but seriously people, do not use this method! It might seem more convenient than opening the whole mouse, but it is not intended to be done that way!

You don't know what you're talking about. there are plastic clips inside the mouse and this method forces them open. Of course you might get lucky but not everyone will be using this method.the real method is to peel off the stickers under the mouse to get access to screws and then you can access the inside to press open the plastic clips. This is very similar to the Xbox 360 and I broke the cover of mine the same exact way because fucking kids make tutorials about things they don't know.

idk why everyone is hating on the method. The mouse comes apart in 3 pieces. This takes away the top layer, which is what i needed and did not damage the mouse in any way.

I would suggest you use a credit card instead (or a similar library/ID card) and take it veerrry slowly. Mine came apart fine doing this.

Dunno why everyone is complaining. The cover pops right off if you go all the way around it with a knife. Getting the cover back on was a bit harder, but there is no mis-information in this video. Thanks for the help.

1. NO specification of what deathadder this is. Elite? Pro? Pro 2? They are clearly constructed differently because this guide worked for some people. 2. Using a bladed tool on stubborn plastic near your fingers is a great way to end up in the ER. Use a credit card or screwdriver at least if you have to do this. If there are screws or "locks" inside then you will just cut or stab yourself on accident. 3. The Deathadder Elite (which is visually identical to other deathadders) has 3 screws securing the case. 2 under the front feet and 1 hidden below the barcode area. If you have Elite and you open the mouse like this you will just break the plastic that holds the cover in place, the mouse will not be put back together securely, you will hear little rattling noises every time the mouse moves... opening it properly reveals the 6 plastic hooks that hold the cover onto the body. This is a tutorial on how to break your mouse if you have Deathadder Elite. DE owners please find an accurate guide. Uploader please FIX THE FUCKING TITLE ! and specify what mouse this is

If you do this, do it with some kind of gift card or credit card, because if you use a knife and slip up it will scratch the mouse. I did this with a gift card on my 2013 DeathAdder and it worked just fine.

No open from the bottom with screws. Then push the tabs with your thumb from the other side.

my scrolling wheel was not broken but it kinda freaked out now and again and wne the opposite way. I used a blunt knife and it worked when i opened the top and cleaned the wheel using paper and a plastic card. be carefull however the plastic is fragile within.

The plastic in my cover is broken, ( so my deathadder doesnt click ) i have the plastic here but i dont know the right position to put glue on it, if its a way u can take a picture of ur cover ( the inside part ) i will love you for the rest of my life :( Save me please !!!!!
