I could not agree more about how it feels to hold a print. I subscribe to the idea that an image in never fully complete until you have a print in your hands. I still get chills when I remember how it felt in the darkroom watching the image come to life in the developer tray...prints today are different, but the results are the same: a tangible piece of art in your hands. Cheers

What a breath of fresh air watching this vlog Henry. I've just got home from work and checked in on KZbin. So many photographers I subscribe to posting useless videos about how to make the perfect omelet and other non photography related videos. Then I come across yours. I haven't printed my photographs since my film days but, I will definitely give The Print Space a go.

Hi again Henry, I like your packaging process but the Yellow Paper you used is "Acid-Free Tissue Paper" and you should cover the Print Face entirely as protection. In your video, you put it on upside down. I also think you dated the Certificate 2019 instead of 2020. What file type do upload, ? Looking forward to your next video. Stay safe. 4:04 Offering samples of which materials they print, is always super helpful. I ordered one from another print shop (they print on something like canvas, acrylic glass, PVC foam and aluminium, too) to decide which material I'd like to have. I decided it has to be an aluminium variant. And you get the price of the sample pack as a discount for your first print. That's a nice move. Anyway, very interesting video again. 👍

This is so helpful Henry - someone at work said to me today that I should print my photos and try and sell them so I’ve been searching all over the place tonight for some kind of video that shows this type of workflow! What’s your view on sending prints off in the cardboard tubes as a cheaper method of shipping? Or do you think it’s just a case of building the cost of the quality of packaging and shipping into the print pricing? Your quality and care definitely shows - clearly you’re getting above and beyond what you pay for with your service - top job mate!

Thanks for that information Henry, that's really useful. One question though. Because postage costs are really expensive here in the Channel Islands to post to the UK or abroad, I was thinking of getting a print company in the UK to print mine out on either paper or canvas and get them to send the print directly to my customer. Obviously I can't then sign any prints at all that way, but I was thinking of sending the customer a letter of authenticity seperately from home, with a thumbnail of the photo used on it. That way I'm only paying for just a normal letter to post and not for the expense of two costly postage charges for the print coming to me and then me having to post it back again, just so I could sign it. What do you think. Do you think that would work ok. Do you know if every photographer signs there photos before sending to the customer.

I have now re-watching this about 6 times - such an interesting and helpful video. Appreciate your channel is not focused on this side of your passion but if you ever did a follow-up video to this I would be very interested to know a) the website side (sure a certain site provider would be happy to sponsor that one!) essentially the bits leading up to the start of this video and also how you package non limited editions. I find this side of it fascinating. Finally I'd love your take on selling prints in the first place; I am a pure amateur and get a few friends saying I should sell prints but I get what I guess they call imposter syndrome as I don't necessarily see why anyone would buy something I snapped and edited - would love to know your thoughts on the whole thing?
