Can you explain more how you created folders using the pipe key

I downloaded your dodge & burn presets as shown in another video and imported them as shown in this video, but I can't access them in the basic adjustments module. How do I get it working the way you have?

I have no idea where the styles folder is on linux...

I am not that familiar with the Linux installation and if anyone watching this video can help, please, add a comment. I am planning to upgrade one of my old Win laptops to Linux and try working on Darktable. Once done I will let you know the folder name. Cheers

@@StefanoFerro hello , I don't get why you need to know where they are ...you manage them from the darktable interface. Yet , on linux they should be here : /home/"your name "/.config/darktable/styles/....(the "." means that the folder is hidden) here a good place to find some styles : dtstyle.net/ Thank you for your vids ;-)

Absolutely right. No need to know. It's more about knowing where things are and keeping them organised (my micromanaging fixation 😄). Thanks🙏

@@yvesbeilher637 I currently have 740 styles I found online. Manually navigating to each folder to add a group in Darktable is excruciatingly slow... If I reinstall my OS or use a different computer, I have to repeat manually adding each folder... /home/__/.config /darktable contains no subfolders even though I have some styles added. I may pull them all out of sub folders and dump them in one folder. They might organize themselves if they contain group details.

@@Foche_T._Schitt I think you are right ...If you export each of your folders from your first pc then import from the new. the folders should be the same.
