Alejandra, don't be discouraged by all the rude comments people leave you. Do not convince yourself that your videos are unwanted. I thoroughly enjoy your videos; in fact, my husband and I have implemented many of your ideas in our own home. I am obsessed with office supplies; Staples and Office Depot are like a toy store to me! I also get made fun of for being organized, but I also have people asking me for help, so just remember why you do what you do--it's to help those in need! Just thought I would take the time to encourage you since people were taking the time to talk you down. God bless you and Ed and all your hard work.

Dust cloth inside a zippered case - GENIUS!!! I keep a stash of microfiber cloths in my nightstand drawer, because once one is dusty, it would contaminate everything else. I never thought of just keeping it in a little zipper case! Truly a "smack my head" moment. I just reclaimed about 1/3 of my drawer space! Thanks!

I have a tip for the cord problem! At Christmas time they sell little sticky clips that you can use to put up Christmas lights. Well I had a lamp like that and I used the sticky clips to hold the cord against the back of the shelf leg so it wasn't just hanging there.You could use these to run the cord down the leg into your cord box or the closest electrical outlet! I hope this tip helps!

Thank you Alejandra, I really enjoy your video tips. When deciding to organise or reorganise things in my home, I tend to overthink things and try to do it all at once and end up over whelmed . I just discovered your videos today and I love them! Lots of great tips. My friends have always chided me about my organized ways but they also always ask me for help with organizing too! To those who feel the need to post negative, hurtful and rude comments about people's videos etc., I just want to understand how this makes your life better. Only insecure and damaged people lash out at others and try to demean other people in order to build themselves up. Happy, secure people don't do this. Unfortunately, you're making it very obvious which category you belong to. Try building people up instead of tearing them down. It'll end up building you up in the long run and make you feel better about yourself and your life too.

I just read a few of the comments (nasty) and thought I should tell you that I appreciate your suggestions, Museum putty to keep containers from sliding is brilliant and storing bottled water is also an idea I never thought of. I will use these two suggestions. I don't know why people have to be mean.
@Chocobear555
@Chocobear555 7 жыл бұрын
It's not the suggestions I have a problem with. It's the fact that she goes on and on about those cords and hiding the contents of the baskets. I clicked on this video for tips on how to organize a nightstand, not for a seemingly neverending rant about how much she hates seeing cords and the contents of the baskets.

I have the same issues with unsightly cords. I love those command cord keepers. Same removable adhesive as typical command hooks, so no future damage. Add them to the back and/or leg of your nightstand to feed the cords down to your cord box at the bottom. No more pesky bistable cords :) love ALL your videos. Thanks for everything!

Oh no, I am on her side with this one. I always highlight in books that I have purchased. Never anyone else's or library books. It really is freedom to get away from the Old School Training and highlight what inspires you. Once you start, you'll never go back! You bought the book, you become part of the book and enjoy it. It's not damaging or hurting anyone or anything. You are revealing your age with your comments. We live in 2014 now.

I love your videos. One thing when having a nightstand with an open back. You can take white poster board or flat cardboard cut down to size, and spray-painted to match to finish of the nightstand. Tape it, staple it or use 3M removable backing to connect it. The cords will lie on the other side of that so you'll never see them.

Love this video. The dust cloth is a great idea. I hate having dust all over my nightstand and keeping one on hand is perfect. Where did you get those small dust cloths. Did you make them from something. You actually only need a small one for that area. Love all your videos and I believe in being organized. It saves so much time in the long run. People who don't agree or think it is obsessive probably don't want to try. Take 15 minutes one day and start with a small area. It works.

I have used painters tape to run the courts behind the leg of furniture that doesn't have backing.

+HolisticHomemaker And if painter's tape upsets your sensibilities (it doesn't upset mine) you can use the same adhesive cord clips as from the phone charger. :D

ODC is a serious mental illness, that many people mistake for just being organized. It downplays how hard it can actually be to live with for those who actually have it.

hahaha! OCD… please stop judging others without even knowing what's going on in their lives.

luissy7 I actually wasn't judging anyone, My comment is pretty old if you go back and look there was a lot of negative comments that made light of OCD. My point is that OCD isn't something to be ashamed of, but taking the stigma of any mental illness is to not stereotype systems. I love these videos, I think she does a great job of helping people get ideas for their homes.

I like your ideas, but what's with the water bottles?. It's not like you're camping and there's no where else to store them.

I think shes great and is very good at motivating people to get more organised. I do think some of it is about what you can control and you can control your environment. It then makes the rest of your life less stressful. I know, because ive become more organised and the fact that I can just reach and get an item and now where it is, really does take some of the stress out of your day. Thanks for sharing what works and what you have found have been mistakes, like the nightstand and lampcord:)
