How to Organize your Pokémon HOME boxes (Full Living Dex)

**Edit** I Made some little mistakes with the numbers and Pokémon. The last few living dex boxes should be: 781-810 811-840 841-870 871-900 901-905 Also the Hisuian Basculin should be in "other forms" since it's officially called "white-stripped" being an extra form like the red/blue. And finaly Enamorus has a Therian form which should be added at the end of "Other forms"

I’m not going to lie, I thought the video was going to show me how to organize the boxes using a faster method, but I’m glad I watched the whole thing through. I didn’t even take into consideration my original plan of organizing the Pokémon would screw me later on because I would’ve had everything by the Pokédex number and its forms together, but like you said if Nintendo decides to release new forms later, I would be in a lot of mental agony LOL thank you for this!😊

I literally just sent over all my pokemon from Violet. I was just about to organize the dex, and the thought of needing to move pokemon with every new form made me start looking up tips.

I put all the forms together, but I have all my mons grouped into generations. So when I add Paldean Wooper, I only need to move Pokémon up to Celebi because Treeko starts at the next box.

Is it better to go by living dex strictly or can you do a living dex but include pre evolution for example a living dex but with Pichu before Pikachu, magby before magmar, etc. Thats what i am doing but now im not sure if that's better or worse.

I would do it by dex number. Because imagine if someday they introduce a new evolution or baby Pokémon for an existant Pokemon, you'd have to redo all your boxes. But if you don't mind, do whatever pleases you!

Nice Job. I do all alternative forms together ( as long as they where introduced in the same generation.) and the regional forms go before the generation they where introduced in. And if it’s like in Galar and the regional Pokémon have different Evos, I put their regional pre evo right in front of them

That's an awesome livingdex you got there. Now Home has seperate regional livingdexes for Hisui, Galar, BDSP, Let's Go and Go, will you make these as livingdexes as well?

Probably not, I don't really see the point of having 2-5 pokemon of the same species just because they were caught in different games.

@@pokestonks Collecting purposes is the only reason I can think of. Sort of a Living Origin Dex. I love the idea. If not only makes every Pokémon relevant, but every game as well, especially when some Pokémon can function different in battle depending on their build, making having two of more of the same battle-relevant.

This is great and it's the method I'm going to use (having ONLY males, and saving females only as they have a different form), means having 1-30 in box labeled 1-30. NEVER lose anything again. BUT I'm awful at putting together organized spreadsheets and others I've seen for download seem to want to keep the different forms together, which again, feels wrong to me. Does anyone have a downloadable spreadsheet for THIS method?

currently attempting to correct a living dex; also kinda feel like pokémon go pokemon doesn’t feel right? (coming from a pokémon go player lolol) I just feel like I want living dex to be original games only or is it okay to have pokémon go pokemon?

Personally, I don't think it matters which game they come from as they're the same Pokémon specie. However, if you'd like to go an extra step, do what makes you happy!

Sadly non of them are allowed. Any Pokémon that depends on hold items to change forms will revert back since you can't bring items into Home

a good organisation plan. for me I followed pretty much the same rules except for the unknown and regional variants.I left a space between miisdrevius and wobafet and put all 28 unknown in the next box named gold/silver unknown. for each region it starts in a new box with there regional pokedex number 1 is the first in box from theres For the regional like alolan, galore and hisuian, the way I worked it is they are under the game they first appeared in. I.E alolan Vulpix and ninetails are in with the alolan pokemon in the Pokedex order of the region and separate from the kanto versions that are under the red, blue green boxes from box 2 onwards. the living magearns, meltang and melmetal are at the end under a ho/ specialbox. I also have copies of the boxes set up for shiny pokemon then a box for duplicates (my event pokemon are in there as I never really paid much attention to events. From there I have an entire page of 32 boxes set up for releasing en mass through the home app. and at the end I have a page of boxes set up for wonder trading separate from my first box which is empty.to act as a safety barrier. it is just how I have Been able to set the rest up. as more pokemon are revealed I have enough space to add box's to the list. edited for spelling and correction of pokemon

I have my shiny living dex, with forms differences including gender forms (which people don't include most of the time for some reason). and then anything that I don't have as a shiny, gets filled in with the normal color. then everything else is just everywhere else.

Hi nice vid, actually help me but also almost broked my mind cause i couldnt understand why you stop counting 30 spaces in the living dex you are adding 30 to 30 in the count example minute 3:00 is 751 to 780 thats okay cause you are adding the space u have in that box but then you stop doing it and you went from that to 781 to 807 that means you are adding only 26 to the count and then you plus 30 to the other count so you broke the count xDDD, this is no a hate comment is just a curiosity I noticed while watching, but it is still a nice video and a nice collection you have there, GG.

I appreciate the way you organize your boxes, but man. I wish my brain worked like yours. I can't NOT have the regional, gender or shiny forms next to each other. It bothers me far too much lol. I'd rather spend the 30+ minutes reorganizing the boxes whenever new Pokemon get added, or when I get new shinies, just for the ~aesthetic~.
