I have using the socket boss for about 5 years now. super happy with them, I restore old cars as a hobby so they spend most of their time in my tool box in a hot garage the south west US. the plastic never gets brittle or cracks. I have knock an entire tray off my tool cart and didnt lose a single socket or have them come loose. by far the best socket organizer out there. liked them so much i bought the plier, wrench and screw driver organizers.

These socket trays are interesting.. Working as a tech out of two locations, I have to pack up my tools. Being able to just unlock my socket rails and toss them in my bag would be awesome.

The pieces that pop off those bit organizers fit _perfectly_ into the three slots in the larger ernst trays that you're using.

I reorganized my garage this summer with the purchase of a new tool box. My work bench is staying open now with most of my tools in the box. I also don’t have to dig looking for certain tools. That said, I’m not even close to your tool box. Great job on the arrangement.

Hey man - just found your channel with this vid. At the end you said you might do a review as to how the Socket Boss organizers held up over time but I was unable to find that vid on your channel. I did see where you bought another 5 drawer cart from Harbor Freight in my favorite color orange! BUT I was unable to find where you did a follow up on these socket organizers. Would love to see that vid. You know, since it's winter an all. :)

I'm a big fan of wrench rolls - take a lot less space and a bit easier to grab and go. A bit challenging to find the right size for everything thought, so open to suggestions.

Recently bought a bunch of socket bosses for all my sockets (chrome, impact, shallow, deep, 6 and 12 pt, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2) and it was worth it! Had to ditch the trays and just use the rails so they all fit the drawer though. Pliers organizers, bit bosses, got several of each of those too. Wrench organizers…. Not a fan, I prefer toolbox widgets for those, more flexibility for the drawer space. Ernst makes most organizers that get rebranded and hi-viz only comes from them in regards to their products rebranded or not ;)

Good Video I Use the Ernst System as well but not in Hi Viz but there rail system is A1 especially there ratchet and extension Trays and Socket Twist lock system

Never has such order caused me such anxiety. How about working temperature? Nice that it works in Florida, but what if I need to change an auger belt on the snowblower and it's -5F in my unheated garage? I'd like to know how durable that plastic is now. Will the magnetic screwdriver holder stick well through a drawer liner? I like that socket organizer but if you pop it loose to carry just one rail that thing is a mile long. It’s much longer than needed if your mobile.

*untwists all of your sockets* lmao ive tried some cheaper socket organizers and didnt like them. i think most of the drawers on my Yukon chest are to shallow to use organizers. or i got to many tools lol. since my big Kobalt mechanics set had its own molded plastic chest, i just took the socket drawers out of it and put them in the top drawer of my chest to organize my sockets with. sure it takes up a lot of space, but everything is organized

Uncle Vic here, Penny's asleep. A person has to break the habit of just tossing tools an whatnot on the bench or drawer. Once you learn to discipline yourself to always wipe your tools off and put them back after each job shop life gets easier. You always know exactly where "it" is and if you're like me, and you're under a vehicle with your hands full, and you have to ask the wifey to fetch something..... I start out with "if you're standing in front of the tool box, second drawer from the top, left hand side... You get the point 😉 I always feel guilty when my shop is a mess.

If you are looking to ruin all of your tools and waste thousands of dollars, store them at the bottom of that old pond you used to "fish" out of. Or you could place them in a cement mixer minutes prior to pour and kiss them goodbye while reinforcing your new driveway. Either would be better than following the advice contained in this video.
