This was so helpful! thank you so much! just subbed! you should do more videos like these

Thank you so, so much for this video. I am taking my first ever AP course this year as a freshman and an outline was required for the summer assignment. The only problem was, I had never written an outline and had no idea where to start. Your video literally saved my life and 10% of my 1st quarter grade! Thanks again! (:

@cpxxx yes, essentially it's a summary of a chapter so when you study you don't need to go back in your book and waste time because outlines cover what's important in your text book.

Outlining usually takes me about 1 1/2- 2 hours per chapter but it's very helpful. I remember things a lot better if I outline compared to just reading the book. Yes, it's time consuming but I highly suggest it :)

Can you PLEASE do a video on how you take notes for a novel. Like how you would take notes for each character, character development, theme, overview etc,
@vzhux313 жыл бұрын
@meeimaria In some schools you are taught how to outline. However, in many other schools, nobody has taught students how to outline. This video is for those who didn't get a chance to learn to outline their textbooks. Also, i just wanted to share my method. We all do things a little bit differently & it doesn't hurt to learn from eachother. ^^

I always use this method to study, and honestly, it is a bit time consuming but it helps you understand the content better because you're putting it in your own words. It's a very effective method, you're grades will be very good

Class notes are notes taking when your teacher does the teaching. Sometimes they will supplement with notes you can pre-print on your own or they will hand them out. Or they may just have powerpoint slides in class for you to follow. Outline notes to me is taking notes from reading textbook.

Do u copy note from book or you wrote in your own words
@vzhux311 жыл бұрын
Class notes are notes that you take in class from your teacher's lecture. Outline notes are done on your own directly from the textbook. The 2 types of notes should overlap quite a bit since the material is pretty much the same. =]

really helpful. just curious if typing notes is better than writing. + isn't rewriting the textbook a waste of time (i have been told/)
@Stephy69311 жыл бұрын
for my university, class notes are more important than textbook notes. usually textbook notes go into greater details and the professor usually tells you the specifics in class notes. CLASS notes are VERY important, it'll most likely be on exams. Most of time not everything in the textbook would be on the exams. professors do this so that they know you attend class and they basically pick and choose the most important parts of the chapters.

when i study for a test i rewrite all my notes combining my class notes and my book notes into one set of notes. rewriting the notes helps me to remember it better and combining the notes gives me one set of notes to continue studying so i dont have to continuously flip through two sets of notes.

I've always had a similar system of note taking before watching this. Just move to the margin when you have a new major heading. And then indent once, away from where the Major heading started, when you have a sub heading. If that makes sense. ^^
