I have been in the worst pain of my life the past 5 days from a pinched nerve. I've had it punched 3 times before... And I've always been given muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatories. They never worked. Today I've watched this video and I've done chin tucks and it has relieved the pain unlike any other. Thank you so so so much!

@Janet I am so glad to hear of your progress, especially the fact that you are almost pain-free!! If you don’t mind me asking, what was your issue(s) specifically and what did you do to become pain free?! I am 37 female have had back pain/problems that are hereditary since I was a teenager. It was simply degenerative disc disease back then. However, once I hit my 30s, at 31 I had my first pinched nerve that fully healed (Despite the fact that I had to continuously hear from my physical therapist that I was “far too young for this.” Fast forward to 33, this time it was definitely stress related because I hadn’t done anything strenuous. I was also sleeping on a lousy mattress and going through a lot of stress at the time. It was simply the way I got out of bed that caused it to pinch again. This time, I had left entire leg into foot dead (drop foot), Went back to physical therapy, and although it healed, It did not fully heal this time. I was left with a little numbness in the toes, which was completely doable. However, my back pain worsened because of the leaning on the nerve. I truly don’t even notice the numbness in my toes at 37 at this point. What I do notice is the pain and how it has, and continues to get worse. I want to nip this in the bud while I can, As I am not getting any younger and my aunt had her first back surgery at 40. A little background of what happens with the second pinched nerve at 33… I saw a Doctor Who was going to give me an epidural injection but waited because he wanted to see how I healed. At that point, I was so happy that I had a feeling back in my leg after months and months of nothing. I was scheduled to go back to my pain management Doctor Who was going to evaluate me for this injection, until I learned he had left the practice. Thereafter, I was referred to a Cooper doctor because he also does injections and mind you, this was a couple of years ago… I suppose I was around 34/35. I did not want to be awake for the injection because I heard it was extremely painful getting the needle awake. I also heard from my aunt and cousin that had the same issue that the injection did absolutely nothing for them. I am lucky that I just have a little bit of numbness in my toes and followed through with physical therapy. I did have Asian on my side and that’s probably why it worked out then. In the event that this happens again, I want to be prepared. I’m going to follow up with another doctor regarding the injection because the older I am getting the heart of this is to manage. Anyhow, just wanted to let you know a little bit of my background because everyone is different. I’m still glad to hear you are pain free! I watch Bob and Brad and absolutely love their channel. I would absolutely love to hear what helped you and what your specific condition was. Thank you so much!

Once I did the traction, I was able to do the chin tuck without pain. I'll keep up the exercises to get rid of this issue. Thanks guys!

I’d been through hell with cervical radiculopathy. Bedridden for 5 days. No response to pain killers. Whole torso contracting when the nerves were killing me. I did 2 of the first exercises and instantly had relief. On my 4th day now and doing the exercises 4-5 times a day. Everyday it’s getting better. This benefitted me , but also my family. I felt like a burden to my wife and kids and I didn’t actually want my youngest to see me in that awful condition. Thank you so much ❤😊 If only the doctors could have suggested this type of physio. Could have saved me the pain, the worry, the time and money. Thank you again. I’ll definitely be recommending you guys to my clients, friends (including my doctor friends) to your channel. Thank you.

This has helped me so much. I was diagnosed with radiculopathy and was given prednisone which didn't seem to make a lot of difference. My doctor said she would give me a referral for a PT if the pain continued but when I found this video, I decided to try these first. The chin tucks are what worked for me so I wanted to say how much I appreciate the video! It has taken several weeks but now that I feel better I am realizing how much this was impacting my life!

Guys, I am recovering from Cervical Radiculopathy this week. It has been a long and painful journey and my current relatively pain-free neck and arm are a gift from the heavens. I watched several of your videos and I appreciate your efforts. I wanted to give one small piece of advice: when I am in a state of pain at e.g. 3AM and unable to sleep and feeling scared and miserable, please get right to the point. This particular video of yours does not reach an exercise until it is over half way over. Those of us who are suffering and borderline desperate need you to cut to the chase. Having said that, I do appreciate your easy and friendly demeanor and I do not mean to take away from your sincere efforts. I just want to put in my two cents having experienced this awful physical condition that I have recently gone through. Many thanks and I hope that you take no offense at my comment.

I have Radiculopathy and degenerative disc disease. this vid has helped A LOT, but I don't think it's going to be a cure for me. I wanted to add that Traction against pillows and /or something like a Pool noodle or anything wrapped around the neck, front and / or back and pressing / rotating your head SLOWLY against it, adjusted and relieved much of my pain. Also in a sitting position on the floor - putting my hands on the floor reversed and behind me so that my shoulders are raised .. i then roll my head back "SLOWLY" against my shoulders. This also creates a natural traction that relieves tension & creates space between cervical vertebrae. If this helps even one person ... (Besides me) I will be happy. Update: I have also found that Using a towel to essentially Put my head in traction an SLOWLY / CAREFULLY move my head around while relaxing neck muscles , has had some beneficial results as well. Just remember "Too much of anything" has the potential to NOT be a good thing. Be Assertive - Not Aggressive". Going "SLIGHTLY" against the pain has been good for "ME"... a little bit at a time. There have been times where I almost over done it because it was feeling good. That is why it is IMPERATIVE to go slow and not "Force anything" too much. There ARE little bone in the neck that can break and cut Nerves/Arterial walls.. So be careful! The best one yet is to twist a towel up, wrap it around the back of your neck and lean your head back pushing against it firmly. Next rotate you head Slowly side to side while relaxing all neck muscles.. This is what re-aligned "My "neck.

This video helped me immensely. I had suffered for ten days with next to no sleep owing to the excruciating pain in the shoulder, running down the arm, and the constant gnawing pain in the elbow. I couldn't figure out whether I had a pinched nerve or a torn muscle as the pain was constant, 24/7, excruciating and exhausting. I couldn't take pain killers as they made me very ill. I could hardly eat. I thought I would have heart failure if I went without sleep for another day. With the current corona virus lockdown, it's not been possible to get to a hospital. This video helped me pinpoint the problem and then I was able to take steps to correct it. It took around five hours, but I am now pain-free and I have my full range of movement back. There's some residual soreness in the shoulder and arm but that should resolve soon. I used a magnet, taped it to my neck where the muscle was tender and slightly swollen with the north side in contact with the skin.

Early January this year I had cervical radiculopathy all the way down my left shoulder and arm, complete numbness on my index and middle finger. An MRI a few days later confirmed a ruptured disc and C7 severe nerve root compression. It was only 2 weeks later I tested my left tricep strength, and I assessed it to be over 85% weaker before onset of symptoms. I couldn't straight my arm against gravity or do a single pushup so that had me worried. I started PT with chintucks, neck and upper back flexibility exercises and tricep strengthening every day. At 4 weeks I saw a neuro who recommended surgery as my arm was still very weak..but in the end decided to continue non surgical route as I felt while slow, I was still improving. Now at 9 weeks and tricep strength almost back to where I was (15% or so weaker) and now doing 10 dips / 15 Close grip/diamond pushups, where I don't really notice the weakness anymore. Pain and numbness completely gone. I know I my experience will not be like others but hopefully might help those weighing up surgery or not. If your symptoms are improving after 4-6 weeks and are disciplined to doing PT definitely recommend not opting for surgery. I feel the chin tucks, wall angels, and a few days anti inflammatories when I had stiff neck episodes really helped, as well as warm/hot baths. Nerve pain really sucks, and I was bedridden for quite a few days. Talking it through with someone can really help, and keeping at it and being patient knowing at these things tend to get better over time.

I’m going out on a limb here, since foot bone spurs would seem to be caused by lack of expected forces that the heel and tendons should experience during running without footwear, that similar disruptions are causing bone spurs in the neck. For one, since the foot is not properly distributing/absorbing impact forces, the spine will be absorbing more of the force possibly leading to herniated discs. Both radiculopathy and heel spurs are very common in older people so maybe a mix of footwear and lack of activity is the cause. I wish it was only numbness for me. The pain is unbearable in both sides of my arms and weakness. I can’t lay on my back or sides. Even affects my breathing sometimes 😩

You guys are my go-to therapists!! What you do both think of the use of an inversion table as a means of relieving pinched nerves and herniated discs?

I was having pain in shoulder down my hand, numb fingers, tried massages, ten machine, tried some stretches, the only thing that worked for me was Chinese needles right on the contracted shoulder cupping

They found radiculopathy in my neck from c2 to T1. Not all of these sections are affected, but most of them are. I’m having nerve pain in my upper chest, and my arm joint as well as in between my shoulder and neck on both sides.

man I pinched my nerve in my neck and my Doc said radiculopathy as well. never experienced this pain before felt like my arm was ripped off. started doing a ton of different neck stretches and T Spine movements and it helped alot. only issue i seem to have is still weakness in my left arm which is annoying.

I have symptoms of a pinched nerve in the neck. Ive tried these exercises but it can be quite painful for a short while afterwards. Is this normal to feel short term pain after the exercises?

i have a pretty bad c6 and the laying and sitting chin tucks helped a lot, seeing how i couldn't even lay on my back without pain and numbness. i cant seem to get my shoulder area back in order unfortunately, i think turning my head to the right is helping but i think i did it too much and irritated it. thanks great information.

I have most of these symptoms. I’ve been dealing with this swollen feeling in my neck for months now. But it’s not consistent; it comes and goes. Some days aren’t so bad, on some days its absolutely debilitating. Though it doesn’t hurt to swallow. Lately I’ve been having this nerve feeling in my left arm and pins and needles feelings in my left hand. I don’t know what it is and I’m so scared.

I hope you’re feeling better. Would love to know how you’re feeling. I am going through this right now. So much pain everyday. I can barely get through a day at work without having to constantly take breaks and breath through the pain.
@kaotic50462 жыл бұрын
@@MadisonWestfield Hey hun. I’m sorry you’re going through that😞 I started taking B12 vitamins to increase the blood flow through my body. I also put cigarettes down & started exercising, even through the pain. If you’re working a lot you may very well just need rest and to drink lots of water. Happy to say I feel a lot better now. Where in your body are you experiencing pain?
