Do you struggle with elephant skin? What methods do you use to help it?

Im 5 months into my TSW journey and Ive seen remarkable results with Bone Broth. Ive got moisture in my skin, the excessive flaking and oozing has all gone and my skin is 80% better than it has ever been in years. P.S. I only started Bone Broth 6 days ago. Bone Broth has natural collagen in it as well as 19 other great benefits and the bones can be bought very cheaply from your local butchers shop, so there is no need for spending hundreds of pounds on collagen products. Bone broth is better if its made from scratch rather than ready made shop bought. You can use beef, lamb, fish or chicken bones. Throw them in a pot and boil for 12- 24 hours (recipes online). Then drink a small tea cup of bone broth per day ( or if you don't like the taste of it) you can put it in soups or gravy. Bone broth lines the intestines and reduces any leaks that you may have in your gut. I believe that gut issues are the main cause of skin issues so if you heal from within, you will heal the skin. Try it you wont regret it. If you are vegan then stick to collagen powders.

Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately bone broth can be very high in histamine which creates more itch. Not everyone has histamine issues. However with TSW the itch is the first thing to consider. I have helped many TSW sufferers who religiously drank bone broth daily who were still plagued with the itching. So we have to be careful. Obviously you don’t have histamine issues so it works for you. Which is great!

I appreciate your channel so much. I can relate to you and your advice more than other channels I’ve seen. I just got a red light and am looking forward to seeing how it helps me. I really appreciate your bright, cheerful attitude. I really struggle with my attitude.

Hello Dear Leila ! 🐘 I’m already almost one year in TSW… and still have some elephant skin on my face and neck too 😩 But I don’t use any supplements, besides probiotics, instead I buy all my food organic . So I’m making sure all food I eat is packed with vitamins and minerals . I think ceramides works great for you ! I see a big improvement in your skin 👏👍😻

Hi Kate! Well done for your 1 year milestone! 👏👏👏 Fair enough to get your vitamins from food. If that’s all you need then good for you! Just out of interest what probiotic do you use? I had so many histamine issues with probiotics so I never took one. Thank you for complementing my skin. My skin loves dermaviduals. 👏😘🥳

Thank you for this video! I'm almost one year into TSW and much of my skin has healed, the exception being my face and neck - so this is my main struggle right now! I use moisturizers on my body (Avene) and it has really helped. In fact, the skin on my legs and body (arms still healing but getting there) are smoother and softer than they were before the TSW. I take collagen and vitamin C every morning and I have been on an autoimmune protocol diet so no sugar at all. Unfortunately, I am literally terrified to put on my face and neck because every time I tried earlier on in my healing process it would irritate my skin terribly and cause excessive itching and red flares. I will definitely try some of your suggestions. Just a little nervous about investing in ceramides since my facial skin is so extremely sensitive.

My pleasure 🙏. I hear what you are saying but the ceramides Dermaviduals range is amazing and perfect for sensitive skin types. This is a high range of products but worth it! Contact Andy Millward in the description and he can assess your skin better via photos/email. He also recommended the Bone Restorer by Life Extension link in my Linktree of products in the description as well. He told me calcium is an active part of restoring collagen. Check out my supplements video: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/npW8oXyNp9WWiLM That said I think the face and neck takes the longest. It’s what most of us struggle with after the first year. ❤️🙏

Ceramides is awesome! I am not a fan of Aquaphor is always made my skin uncomfortable. Peptides are also worth thinking about with elephant skin but most of all diet!

Hi Leila. I have it around my neck and some part of my face. I am taking Topialyse Probiocure and Multi Enzyme from Nubi Health. It helps with my gut but I don't see any change for the Elephant skin.

I had it on my neck for ages but now it’s gone. It took a while and must say when my overall health is poor my neck turns dark and the elephant skin returns. Is that a type of probiotic that you are taking then?

Anyone experienced tsw from using topical steroids only twice over a period of 4 months?
@Leila_Eczema
@Leila_Eczema 2 жыл бұрын
If your skin is inflamed and you haven’t used steroids very much then consider it as skin inflammation which can be addressed through the gut.

Thanks, Leila. Do you think elephant skin correlates to the areas you put steroids on? I have it on my inner elbows an area where I put steroids on. Did you put steroids on your face?
@Leila_Eczema
@Leila_Eczema 2 жыл бұрын
I definitely have elephant skin on where I put my steroids which yes was mainly on my face. However I have elephant skin on my tummy, knees and elbows where I never had eczema or applied steroids. That said I try not to be too hard on myself as am also at an age now whereby ageing and lack of elasticity is going to happen.
