I’m quad dominant, determined by my physical therapist. I have knee pain and she says that it because the weight of my quads are causing my leg and knee to hyperextend

As a woman who is wanting to grow her glutes and struggles with “quad dominance” this was very helpful and I’m going to try and be more mindful throughout the day about my pelvis and it’s position

This was fantastic. I was in a car accident years ago and wasn't diligent with my stretches and rehab. Years later, I've noticed strength differences in unilateral exercises between the two sides, and significant quad dominance on the injured side (which also affected body mechanics). This was so helpful, thank you so much

Foot position matters a lot too because of how your hips may be shaped. Straighten them, place them below you, hips forward before going into the squat and see if it incorporates more of your glutes. You might have to instead point them outward or take a wider stance. Form is everything.

For me, quad dominate. Lunges and 1 leg RDLs are what gets glutes going, both feet on ground I am all quads but 1 leg it's glutes.
