I love multifunctional makeup products. I've got a stick as a blush and lip balm. A kajal that I can use to highlight my eyes in multiple ways. A mineral powder foundation that mattifies too so I don't need a powder. A "glue" that works as a brow gel and hair gel. And the holy grail is a setting spray. If it holds every day in every weather, it saves time and products. When it comes to outfits, I only pack light things and I wear or carry heavier ones (jeans, sweaters, jackets). It is also practical to purchase a high-quality, light, foldable raincoat (I have one from Hunter and it keeps me dry in the worst storms all day). I only book Airbnbs with a washing machine so if I'm away for a longer time, I simply wash my underwear and socks. Saves a lot of place.

Enjoyed today's video. Excellent tips. "What is the worst thing that could happen if I don't bring this item?" Excellent question for packing as well as when you are trying to declutter/downsize your wardrobe.

Well done!! This was fantastic. You did so well with the details of travel that others would forget for instance the shirt being too close to the underarms and so much more. I enjoy your videos and am so happy to be a subscriber !

Planning for an expedition to Egypt for a month followed by giving a guided tour, and I want to pack lightly 🙈

Great tips! I'm not a minimalist at all, so trips are a great way for me to determine what I really need and like. I get really inspired to minimize the things I use in everyday life. What about the light color of your backpack? I always choose darker colors for bags so they don't get dirty quickly from rain, putting them on the ground etc. Washing those in a washing machine, even on gentle mode, makes them weaker... and I'm too lazy to wash with a cloth 😄 let me know how it works in your case :)

Great tips and packing advice Lia 👍😎 I've tried to minimise what I take with me when I travel now but I do have a health condition which means that I do have to take extra stuff which can take up extra room, but if you can minimalise the other items that you're taking it kind of evens out.

Nice video! 😊 I too love traveling with just a backpack, it feels so much lighter and hassle free ☺️ My rule of thumb for using a suitcase: I still have to be able to lift it above my head and onto the luggage rack easily (and safely 😅)

Last week, I went on a 3 days trip and all the stuff I took was used except for 3 things, which I regret taking as they just made my bag heavier and my tretinoin leaked out and got into my bag, but overall it was a satisfying journey. Thanks to minimalism, I stopped packing 'incase' items.

I just know that on my way back I'll need to carry large containers with honey that my parents buy locally for me 😅 And I also can't carry my yoga mat in my backpack so it needs to go to the suitcase. Otherwise all of my stuff would also fit in a backpack 😅

Hi Lia! Thanks for the tips, especially for the big question! I was wondering what kind of a deodorant is the one you're using. Could you please let me know? Thanks! :)

I’ve been off for a while - are you growing your hair back?
@ecofriendlia2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I am but I had a haircut last week and I am not planning on growing it out super long... And maybe I am even going to buzz it off again at some point ☺

@@ecofriendlia it’s a bit funny as I remember I shaved my head around the same time and I really loved bald head (only it turned out to be much hotter than with hair!) but then hair started growing and it gave me demo version of dysphoria. Now I’m also growing hair back but want to get it as long as it still comfortable

I don’t travel. Just going to my mom’s house for a holiday is a nightmare. If I have to make a day trip, I check my yarn, knitting needles and crochet hooks. As long as I have enough, and my Bible, I’m good. I can’t haul much weight, and I don’t use public washrooms, so the time I’m going anywhere will be minimal.
