How To Pack Your Snowboard Bag For A Trip

I try to fit as many things in my carry on as possible. If I'm flying, The boots are Carry on. If I have to physically wear them on the plane I will. Boards and bindings are easy to replace but properly fitted boots no. My helmet is also in my boot bag as board bags gets tossed around too much and can compromise helmets. I try to kinda wrap my clothes around the side of the board to give extra protection.

I've seen many people transporting the bindings w/o being attached to the board. Does that keeps the board and/or the bindings more safe? or is just a matter of space?

I can see pro's and con's of having the bindings on or off, but at the end of the day I wouldn't worry about it too much.
