THIS is something I wanted to know so badly, thank you! I do have a question though, if I wanted to use a custom sky I made in Blender for another (separate) project, what would I need to do? Like what export settings should I choose?
@StarkCraftsYT2 жыл бұрын
If u wanna use it in a different blender project u can render it how ever u like i would recommen .png (Render > Render Image > Save as) To open it simply (world properties > click the yellow point on "color" > Environment Texture > open your custom sky) If u wanna use it for a game engine that totally depends on the engine :p Hope that helps :)

I could be wrong, but if it's going to be used in a game engine, you might have to flip the normals of the box, or the game engine might cull it out Thanks for the video!
@StarkCraftsYT2 жыл бұрын
Thats true! overall its depending on your engine. i had not problem in unreal on my sky sphere. but it could be totally different in unity or godot. Good you mentioned that

Would you happen to know how to shade a character like metal Mario from super Mario 64?
@StarkCraftsYT2 жыл бұрын
Sure, first thing no crispy pixelation for the n64 vibe = don't use "closest" setting on the texture. To paint the shadows, just use grey with low opacity. Texture size should be 128x128 or 256x256 for your character
