Oh the lovely bridge!! As for those extra trees at the end, yes 😁they were necessary & maybe the fence. But I think that I will have to give them a go towards the start of the painting before doing the green background grasses because I will mess it up trying to add them in the end. Paul it always amazes me how your paintings usually go through a rough stage and look wonderful when they are finished. I started painting last year at 79 years old but found it so difficult. one thing that you do that makes it much easier for people like me is the line drawing that you give us. I have realised from your paintings that we have to keep going and it may in my case look reasonable for a beginner. So my thanks to you. please keep them coming.

Now realize after watching this video that an obvious mistake I've been making is the lack of soft edges. The way I've been painting is more akin to colouring book art. Big mistake. Another gorgeous painting! It is hard to decide which element(s) in the painting I like best - the lovely bridge, the focal tree and its beautiful soft shadow, the reflections … and yes, the trees added at the end do make a difference, and add a nice touch. Thank you.
