Yup! It helps keep relatively straight lines. The long hair acts as a buffer if you have a bit of the shakes or drink way too much coffee like me.

Great job on this guy. I never would have thought on using other materials to paint with.. Such as the sponge you used. I really like the affect it had on the armor and axe!

How would you suggest doing some shading on the blue arm? Since on a usual (non painted) Ork Arm, I use different layers of green and paint closer and closer to the peaks with each lighter colour to give depth, but how would you do this with the blue arm whilst still using the goblin green to make it look like its worn off? Would you do as you did in the video and then be extra careful with a really fine brush and paint a slightly darker shade of blue in arm crevices that would be shaded? Awesome video, hope you can help me with my question (sorry for it being long winded)

Couldn't you do the black-lining part by doing gloss varnish and then a black oil wash and then just Q-tip the surfaces clean? Or is that way more work? Or just doesn't give the desired result? :)
@LesterBursleyMiniatures

So have you stopped using oil washes now that you have that wicked lining brush? Oil washing can be quite messy with all the mineral spirits and the smell is awful.

Oil washes have their uses. If I was doing an army I would most likely use oil or water color washes and reserve the lining for special guys.

Hi! I would compare them to the Vallejo stuff except they dry more matte. If you plan on masking over anything use a can primer that will bite into the model. That's the only fall back of water based primers.
