I primed it in mechanicum standard grey. I pretty much prime everything in mechanicum standard grey if I’m not doing an army or large vehicle. I prefer to prime in a darker color because it leaves the hard to reach areas darker.

Thank youuu!!! I like grim dark and want it to be easy to do without toxic paints. I agree, contrast paints are soooo expensive 😭😭😭. Before I answer your second question, where do you think I’m from?!? Just curious 😜

D.A.R.E. to keep content creators off contrast paints I dont use contrast paints either. I have the full range and barely touch them. I used to watch the painting coach a lot but these days hes using contrast to paint everything. Probably found my new favorite go to for thtorials here.

I like to use contrast paint but typically only for special items or glazing. Contrast paints are way to expensive and not realistic in my opinion for painting an army. I also think they look OK but not great. 😁
