👁 About this video : Today it's time to do some minor updates for my Toyota Tacoma! I love how my truck looks and the mods that I have done to it, but this particular mod not only had a good bit of hate, but I personally never really liked them as much as I thought. These fender flares that I bought were from Amazon and what I thought was a great deal at around $100 compared to the name brands around $400 and up. After plastidipping them to make them match a little better I thought they gave the truck a good look, but now I'm ready for it to look cleaner which is why I wanted to put the stock flares back on. They look so much better and even painting them with the undercoating makes them match very well with the rest of the powder coating! I also needed to undercoat where I did the CMC just for some more protection and used the heat gun to push out the inner fender liner to eliminate the rubbing I had on those! Vinyl needed to be replaced from the aftermarket flares rubbing on them and I needed to add some new trim to the cut line above the rear bumper! So a lot of work today, but under $100 I changed up and did some touch up work on the truck to keep it looking good!!

Bruh I just finished color matching my camper shell for my 2019 Tacoma! Watching you paint your flares gave me flashbacks XD! It was a Ranch camper shell which was cheaper than others costing upwards of 2500$. Mine only cost me 1000 because I got it from a place that sells defected factory camper shells a couple hours away from where I live but it was white, and my truck is silver sky. We finally finished sanding, painting, clear coating, cutting, buffing, and reinstalling the thing, what a project! Thinking about putting a roof rack on it so we can haul kyacks to the springs near us. Also! Love the fender flares now! I didn't mind the previous ones you had on, they were a unique look! Maybe next mod could be those wide fenders so you wouldn't need the flares at all? Maybe some long travel suspension along with that would be wild!

Wow that is definitely a big project to tackle, but sounds fun!!! And yes "widebody" for the truck would be sweet with that suspension! Not sure when I'll do that, but would love to!!

I am going to paint my flares black on a orange matched Tacoma what is the best thing to use ,to last a really long time ? Rustoleum undercoating? Or Just a original Rustoleum black paint? Or something eles,please help.

I am about to go back to the stock flares , but I’m confused do you install the color clips to the truck first and then just push the flares in to place or install the clips in the flares first?

Yes put them on the truck first. They are hard to line up so it's tricky

what kind of 3m adhesive did you use when putting the stock flares back on?

Just the normal roll from advanced auto. It'll have a red backing.

@@tsk8560 I would use some adhesive just to make sure, and there will be less of a gap, I can see some spots on mine so just make sure your placement is good with the adhesive.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed because they stick out further. Plus they are black and mine are white. The stains are especially in the lip area where the screws bolt in. It’s a 2022 SR5 with the XP predator package 2WD.

Add some AirLockers to see if you really need differential lockers to off-road better or save money and get lower model vehicles

Fix what? I have the UCA set in the middle setting right now, wasn't sure how to put those, but I am thinking about another alignment at some point. Do you have any advise on the caster/camber?

@@BrosFOURRSpeed sounds kinda micky mouse but I’ve heard of ppl using shims on the bolts that hold the knuckle to the frame but don’t take my word. It’s just that when you look straight on at the wheel their bowing inward on the bottom or bowing out on the top. Someone also told me that’s how Toyota designed it at the factory. But when you left it, it intensifies the positive caster
