I had always done a quick drybrush from dark to light colors for fur areas - however I really like the "rainbow" treatment of bands of color put into place. Gives a nice even tone and control over the range of colors. Awesome to see! Thanks for the great tips and cool videos!

Great work and good tutorial! Is there a reason other than "I like it" for the blue/black as opposed to a brown/black or pure black that might feel more realistic?

+hackerism1 It's a bit of a trick, actually: I've found that many people listen to my videos while painting, but don't always 'watch' so when there's something on the screen that I'd like them to really take notice of (like the short ad for my t-shirt pre-sale) then a noise like that works well to get people's visual attention back to the screen for a seconds. Thanks for watching!

Content wise another wonderful vid. Thumbs up! Critique (on a high level though): The close ups on the mini were super shaky/blurry and hard to watch.
@tabletopminions9 жыл бұрын
+Kevin Lorenz Yeah, I'm trying to find my groove with the close up cam. I was using a webcam for this episode, and it just didn't work as well as I would have liked. One of the reasons for the limited edition t-shirt sale I'm doing is so I can try to get a better camera for close ups, or a macro lens for my DSLRs. But I'm working on it. Believe me, I want to fix it. Thanks for watching!
