I like it over the base layers, depending which one you pick up I’d make sure to test it a few times though so you don’t go too heavy on it, not all sepia washes are created equal.

Hi. Great and helpful video guide, just following it myself. Could I ask what you did to the bases as all mine are smooth plastic and yours look different? Thanks

Glad the videos useful! The bases are just kids play sand (so it’s very fine and doesn’t look too large on the base) glued down with watered down PVA. I do it before the undercoat stage, one of the first videos in the heroquest playlist covers how I based them in a bit more detail than I can type.

Thanks, glad you’re enjoying them, I have been looking at the expansions but haven’t picked any up yet, having a gaming weekend with some mates soon and one of them is bringing his expansions and we are going to play through them, that may inspire me to pick them up.

Try to use contrast medium for more contrasts.

Never used the contrast mediums, I’ve enjoyed contrast paints so far so I should probably pick some up.
