Oh my, you are painting my ex-partners parents house! Just through the carriageway to their back door, and the front of their house and garden! It's a long time ago, now - 20 years ago and the houses weren't painted blue then! Lovely trip down memory lane for me. Bryan and Jennie Rogers were their names.

I find your tutorials immensely valuable because you use a few colors to achieve a painting that is beautiful and harmonious. When I started watercolor painting in 2019, I thought I had to buy a lot of paints and have a huge palette. I ended up being confused and panicked every time I would attempt a painting. Not only that, I would spend a lot of money on paints. After watching your videos 3 years ago and reading your book, I understood that it’s not about having every single shade of green or blue. Indeed, I began to experiment with the 3 primary colors (as you recommend in one of your tutorials), and mix my greens, browns, purples. I began to understand how to warm up and cool down parts of my paintings, create shadows (warm and cool), and use contrast where I needed it. Beginning watercolor painters err by buying too many paints and trying to use all of them. I noticed recently that the price of watercolor tube paints has gone up a lot! Inflation. The price of watercolor paper, never cheap even 5 years ago, is also quite crazy now. So being able to paint well with a few colors is a great skill for us to learn, especially when we have to spend money on watercolor paper too. A lot of people are on a tight budget. Thank you so much for your tutorials and your advice.

Wonderful painting! Wonderful bike tour! 87 miles?!?! Wow!!! I’m lucky to get 87 steps a day. Lol. J/k 😂 (kinda) Now that my coffee is gone and I’ve watched your video it’s time for me to start packing for my trip. I’ll be setting up a booth to sell my art in Orlando Florida this weekend. 🖼️🌴 Pray for me! 🙏🏻Lol. I’ll be talking and standing a lot! Lol It’ll be fun! I’ll be selling the fox painting from your tutorial. I’ll let you know if it sells. 🦊 and I always let people know that I learned to paint from your videos. I’ve tried tutorials from others and I don’t get the same level of accuracy as I do when I follow yours. You have a gift of explaining what you are doing along with creating fabulous scenes for us to paint. ❤The perfect channel on KZbin! Thank you for this video today and I hope you have a blessed week. 😊

Lovely. One of your best! The seaweed coming off that line at the end looks great. What I like to do with that kind of thing is just put a thick dollop of paint at the top then smudge it down with my finger. It's a similar result but a lot more fun and you get those frayed edges. Thanks for sharing!
