How to paint miniatures

Hello Before you judge the thumbnail click on the video and watch it first and then you'll understand the content. Let's just say this was made simplified for those of you wanting to start painting miniatures but are intimidated to get started. I promise you this will help both the complete beginner and even those of you finding a lack of motivation to finish your armies and or models. I've been doing this since somewhere around 1977. I'm learning HUGE stuff, here! Thank You, Sir!!! There is always more to learn. All it takes is interest and an open mind. And a good teacher. I particularly wanna thank you for the tip about using a bigger brush that holds a bit more paint. I've been trying thinners, water, and asking other painters about climate control! Just use a bigger brush! So many important principles presented here, but that little tip is gonna be huge for me.

I can load-up an Army Painter 'Insane Detail' brush with paint (a few molecules, at least), and as soon as I touch the miniature, the paint has already dried on the brush. It makes painting tiny details utterly impossible. Retarder or thinner has helped, but I'm gonna try larger brushes. Thanks, Sensei! ;)

I'm glad I'm able to help with some insight on miniature painting. A lot of folks don't think painting and practicing with army men is is a good idea. @@thewazyrian1292 I used to try and paint with super fine detailed brushes and never succeded. Once I started using a larger brush everything changed. I currently own 3 super fine detailing brushes but never use them for anything other than panel linking with oil paints. Glad I can help 😉

what paint do you use for the primer coat ? thanks

I used Vallejo airbrushed primer but you can use a rattle can as well in case you don't have an air brush.
