@TableTopReadyYouTube3 жыл бұрын
honestly, you can use what ever undercoat you have, just know that you may have to do more layers is all. I chose the death guard green because its a base colour so gives you good coverage. I just chose grey seer because I like brighter looking miniatures. If you are going to paint a primer on to your miniature just make sure to give it a clean with some soapy water using washing up liquid, this will get rid of any release agent that's used, then the paint will stick better :D good look

The new "Orruk Flesh" base paint is really close to your homemade "Ork Skin" color, so that may be worth looking into. I personally find that "Base plus Shade" is often plenty of detail for normal miniatures. I don't see a need for layer paints in most cases, except for highlights
@TableTopReadyYouTube2 жыл бұрын
I actually have a video comparing the new orruk skin with my mix. I do like to use both and I use both in my other tutorials as well to show people lots of different ways. There is a benefit to re layering and it gives you the opportunity to beaten up. But a lot of the time, as you say, it’s not always needed.

I would mix 1/2 a pot of flash gitz yellow with 1 pot of deathguard green. That is plenty for a whole army 👍🏻

I do have plans for the Ork clans. I’m just waiting on the new Ork boyz kit 😀
