I love it, it matches the style. I don't tend to draw so detailed under paintings, I find I just color inside the lines and then my portraits look lifeless, but I'm trying to paint real people. This is such a nice blend of the two styles, almost as if youre using the pencil to help shade the work! It's inspiring!

Thanks for the tutorial! I've been expanding my mediums into paints as of late as I prepare for an undergrad in Art in fall, so to see someone who actually knows what theyre doing with paint (unlike me) set up their pallet and work from a sketch was very helpful! Oh- and if anyone is reading, any suggestions on channels or content to learn more about paints (acrylic, watercolor, gauche, etc) is extremely appreciated!

yay!! another awesome tut from brett :DD even tho I literally have no idea how you do in like 10 minutes !! I have a question if you don't mind, how do you get even strokes on your canvas/ whatever you're working on? cause when I paint, I either run out of paint very quickly mid-stroke --> making the strokes really uneven, or putting too much paint on my brush--> which is too much anyways, sorry you had to read like a literal paragraph, but I love ur work sm!!
