They look great I'd be more than happy with those. I have the Ravenloft set and receiving a set of paints for an upcoming bday. Been about 30 years since I last painted minis!!

Thanks for watching. These are nice miniatures to get back to painting with. I hope you have fun!

This is really sick and really helpful. I looked into this because I found some of my late father's skeleton miniatures from the 80s, from some brand called Fantasy Lords. Might paint the rest that he never finished now, seems like fun.

Awesome. Thanks for checking out the video. I’m glad it was helpful. What a lovely idea to finish a project your father started.

Very nice paint job. I would have dry brushed them with a make up brush because, since the bristles are very soft, you can avoid the dust effect pretty well.

Thanks for watching. Good tip. I've got some really nice large drybrushes I use, and normally that's the method I would use (it's how I painted my Kingdom Death: Monster enemies). I've got a dracolich to paint and I'll use the drybrush technique on him, just because it's a large miniature and I'm lazy!

Hey, I just started painting the Castle Ravenloft minis as my first ever, and your videos are really good inspiration. Some people online mentioned washing off mold release agent and finishing with varnish, do you think that is necessary for these minis?
@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring2 жыл бұрын
My recommendation is to always varnish your miniatures when you are done painting. I use Army Painter Anti-shine spray varnish. It doesn't hurt to wash miniatures before painting, although in many cases it isn't necessary. Thanks for watching.

These look like the skeletons from Castle Ravenloft game

You have a good eye, because they absolutely are the skeletons from the D&D Castle Ravenloft board game. I'm gradually working through the Ravenloft box and you will find several other related painting guides here on the channel. Thanks for watching!

@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring No way, I'm in the process of painting my box of Castle Ravenloft set too! I just got it for my birthday. I'm so looking forward to the dracolich and zombie dragon tutorials if you do them because I'm having such a hard time with them.

Any ideas how to paint a bone colour using white and washes I can't really aford to buy a bone colour thanks?
@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring5 жыл бұрын
Do you have Seraphim Sepia? A wash of that over a white primer will give you a bone colour while also giving definition to the details.

@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring Hmm i was thinking would this work a white color i might use cerimte white then a wash of agrax earth shade a brown wash?
@SCP--ss5dx5 жыл бұрын
Oh and thanks for the to tip
@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring5 жыл бұрын
Agrax Earthshade is brown, so you'd end up with dirty white. It doesn't look much like bone, but would be good for defining the dark recesses. You would need to layer or drybrush a bone colour over the Agrax afterwards. EDIT: I just found this video - go to the 50 second mark and you will see what Agrax over white looks like. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHWahJuarcSJeNU
