I absolutely love the bright style of painting. People often think that the more dirt and dust is covering your mini the better it looks, it sometimes comes to the point you cant see the basic colors. While I think the grim and dirty approach is fine, its really just better to play when your minis stand out and dont blend with environment
@TableTopReadyYouTube Жыл бұрын
I've always loved this style, I'm lucky enough to be able to go and see the easy metal miniatures at warhammer world and everything I do is just kind of trying to get replicate it but in an easier and quicker way

Awesome tutorial. Im pretty new to this and I chose Storm Of Chogoris, because I wanted to be done with the hellish experience that is white armor and get even better at painting. If you have airbrush, Vallejo White Surface Primer makes such a white and flawless texture upon contact. I dont think I need to paint it with White Scar/Corax White anymore as base lol. Also while experimenting, I captured a sweet metallic orangish red by applying Screaming Bell on Retributor Armor.

White is intimidating, red freehands on white doubly so. This tutorial does a lot to make it more approachable. I love the idea of mixing your own wash here. Agrax Earthshade or Nuln Oil have always felt too strong for me when it comes to white.

Thanks so much, this video made me sub and will use your guides from now on I’m very new to painting and I love the White Scars lore but everyone says how hard they are to paint and I’ve dreaded it Just a question if you ever see this, on the base layer, how many times should I paint a thin layer on? Or what should I look for to know it’s enough? Thanks again
@TableTopReadyYouTube6 ай бұрын
Welcome to the channel. I'm glad you want to join me on this journey :) white scars are up there with imperial fists in being pretty intimidating to paint. I generaly do about 3 layers for my base coats. if it looks streaky and doesn't look right then you need to do more layers. people tend to stop early but as long as your layers are pretty thin its okay.

Hey Michael, do you find that you need to leave a space where the pieces connect to then glue them once you've painted the individual parts?. Or does the plastic glue still work through the paint?
@TableTopReadyYouTube Жыл бұрын
Very good question. I tend to use superglue to glue all the parts at the end so I don’t have to worry about this. If you used poly cement it could ruin the paint. If you did want to use poly, I would scrape away the areas of contact other wise plastic won’t weld together because of the paint.
