I'm getting ready to take it, 2 days from now. I graduated massage school and took the Ohio medical board test about 16 years ago... I'm taking ALL the practice tests and watching ALL the videos! Thanks for this one!

I was licensed in Calif in 2006. Was grandfathered in until I failed to see the 1 email to renew. I was taking care of my mom on hospice and was distracted. But to be licensed in Calif I had to have 500 hours in school and pass the Emblex. When did they stop this requirement?

Back in 2018 approx. It's pretty much optional now, not mandatory. It's my understanding that if you complete the 500 hours you're certified, if you also pass the mblex then you're licensed.

I live in canada, and you only get 3 chances for the written test and 3 chances for the physical... i wish it was like yours in the US. :( lol I had failed already once , and going to retake soon

How long is the total process now once you sign up for the test? I took mine while in school [years ago] and don't remember. My sister is planning to move out of state and she regrets not taking it back then. Congrats, that's a big step in our careers.

It’s actually a pretty fast process! Once you sign up for the test, they email you and you can schedule the test whenever you’re ready!

I will be taking the test this August, I hope I get it on the first try. I don't want to pay them more money. yikes. CAMTC doesn't require us to have this test done, I want it for future work and to feel good about my work.

How did it go? I've had my CAMTC for 10+ years. I'm moving to utah in November of 2024. They require the MBLEX.

You can work anywhere in the US after taking the MBLEX? Forreal?

I believe in 44 states! But you also have to check those state requirements as well

@@JackieEm no i just got my mblex but I saw online that they don’t do reciprocity or take then mblex so I have to find out more about the AMTA
