Protraction at the top is such an important part of the push up. Thank you for this! Great information, very well put together.

Hey man I love how detailed and clear your videos are. Can you please make one dealing with pike push ups? Sauturno movement has a complicated video with loud music. So... A legit video on pikes please.

First time I have saw the proper way to start with the all fours. Truely a ideal way to start and save your self from injuries. I wish I would have known that when I was in army basic training back in 2016.

How did you start it when you were in the army?
@JackkDevil2 жыл бұрын
@@joedagoe9952 just drop on the floor and push. 10,20,50,100 the usual numbers. No form just repeats. Elbows 90 degrees to shoulders,bent waist,half reps. None told us better neither we cared at the moment.

@@JackkDevil OMG how does anyone not get injured in the long run?
@JackkDevil2 жыл бұрын
That is the neat part. You do. Pain in the knees,hands,joins,waist. Even I had one in the collar bone probably from over training the muscles or a fracture. The reason I started calisthenics and rings is to strengthen all those muscle as much as possible and prevent further injuries.

@@JackkDevil scary to think so many people in pain are required to defend a country. Power to you, soldier!

Do you know how a beginner can be able to perform their first diamond push up.
@BodyweightProcess2 жыл бұрын
Use the incline variations as discussed in the progression section of the video, then slowly progress towards a lower inclination until you eventually get to the floor with better technique 👍🏼

Should the shoulders be "depressed" depressed or can they also be neutral (in the depression-elevation aspect)?
@BodyweightProcess2 жыл бұрын
The action of of depressing the shoulders sets the shoulder complex, a neutral position would be fine in my opinion. It’s just when you even have the intention and act on keeping them depressed it will not only keep you stable, but also help avoid losing that conscious effort of shoulder positioning. Losing that mind-body connection is what I believe leads to complications. Nothing to overthink, but being aware of positioning is important. Thanks for watching 💯
