As a former FMC developer with Boeing/Honeywell for 747s, this is one of the best detailed explanations of how the FMC displays data on the PFD I have ever seen on YT. Bravo! Can’t correct you on anything. Good job, love these detailed videos you provide.

@@flywithcaptainjoe Sir, could you please make a detailed video comparing the a350 and the 777X? With the a350, Airbus has been catching up with boeing with dimmable windows, a sharper nose cone, use of composites materials amd focus on efficiency. Please do share your thoughts

@@flywithcaptainjoef you need to request fans for cooling brakes and the crew speaking Portuguese can't understand you, say " Ventilador de freios ". The stress is in the last syllable. Ventila dor. Take a note. The vowels ei in Freios sound like ei in Freiter.

Great stuff. Many years ago when I was into flight simulation I had a PMDG Boeing 747 and I had studied all this FMA annuciations. It took a while to wrap my head around it all! It was quite accurately modelled within the constraints of MSFS software. Thanks for this and look forward to some more!

Captain Joe, I flew Gulfstream’s for 30 years and we always used Single Cue vs Cross Pointer on the PFD for the Command Bars. I’ve noticed on airline cockpit videos CP always seems to be used. Is this SOP in the airline world? I tried it a few times but find SC to be much more intuitive. Great video.

I’m not an aviator and never likely to be, but I love aeroplanes and love to learn a bit about the workings of these beautiful machines. Incidentally, I only just learned what ‘rotation’ means. At my local airport (Norwich) they are often rotating a tad late. Lol. Thank you and I have subscribed. 😊

Do you have any video on how you navigate from one continent/country to the other and find the correct destination, airport? Also, any video on how you know you are not crashing into another plane while flying/mid air? Do you use radars or other types of instruments to lookout (it would be pretty hard to see anything at night, foggy, cloudy or rainy skies). So how do you lookout? Thanks.
